I am currently dropping. Even tho I do recognise it as a good drama, I've missed the hook. There is nothing that makes me want to watch it anymore (ep12). Does anybody felt the same? Is it worth watching? Characters and acting are amazing and I loved Kim Moo Young since the beginning, but I don't really see what is this story about? It kinda feels like a biography, not mystery nor investigation(?) It was different at the beginning since I was interested in Yoo Ri investigation and playboy-ish motives of Kim Moo Young, but now as they are gone I don't really see why to watch it.
I won't, but don't drop it (on which episode are you?) I've just completed it (struggling A LOT after what happened…
Got you now. I am currently dropping 'The Smile Has Left Your Eyes' for the same reason. Even tho I do recognise it as a good drama, I've missed the hook. There is nothing that makes me want to watch it anymore.
Meixiao literally forced Yun Zhen to go out with her on 4 dates after stalking him previously and she would be…
Sorry, but I don't get your point. I knew all of that. What made you think otherwise?
Questions I asked were only to show that she has a complex and interesting persona and prove my point. I wanted to know her story and that's why I did watch it. Also, writers made a good job slowly showing parts of it, to reveal the whole story at the end, it made it more charming.
It's funny how much I do like this drama even tho it's not perfect at all, I also loved The Smile Has Left Your…
I really need to befriend you. I tried to force my friends into Hello Monster just to talk about it, but they aren't even dramas fans so it was awfully difficult and I ended up watching 2ep with them. Finished all by myself because they were not 'that interested'.
It just seems like many people need to remember that THIS IS A SUSPENSE AND MYSTERY drama. And as you probably know, those dramas aren't for everyone. So don't be mislead for the romance plot and don't care about weird ratings. It's going to be dark and complicated.
Had a few flaws (read spoilers if u want to know), but overall it's good. More similarity to 'Smile has left your eyes', 'Hello Monster' and 'Tunnel' than 'Healer' and 'While you were sleeping' - more complexity and psychology, less romance and fluff.
Actually, 'He is Psychometric' is somewhere between them, and I gotta say it's the first crime drama with strong romance that I liked. They usually focus on romance and forget about mystery somewhere in the middle, but here they managed to have it all and still make sense.
The ending was not really satisfying in my opinion. And Seong Mo's actions didn't make any sense, why was he trying…
Because he was sorry.
His story is complex and so are his motives. He had feelings for Ahn, Ji Soo, Jae In and most importantly for his mother. He was not just a monster, he was struggling with his decisions. The choices he made were to let him and his mum survive alongside taking care of Ahn and Jae In (because he cared for them). He wasn't trying to fool them he literally did the best he could.
Try to think for a moment, what else could he do? He was scared and traumatised, he wanted to KILL his father. Also, he was a murder himself so he knew that he would end up in jail. Living with his dad in prison wasn't appealing enough as he said, but then, the only thing he could do for Ji Soo, Jae In, his mum and Ahn, was to make them catch his dad before he lets them know the truth. But he still needed to make sure that they are safe. Before Ji Soo death, he was still struggling whether he wants to kill him or just punish by law. Then, after she died, he stopped to care, but still wondered about his mum so at least he wanted to let Ahn and Jae In take care of her. And of course, he wasn't able to just tell Ahn - 'Hey, I killed your parents. Bye.' That's why he needed him to read it instead.
The thing you need to understand is that he wasn't just a monster trying to kill his father to seek revenge. Tracking and capturing his father was the only way he and the people he cared for could survive. Of course, he wanted him dead, but he was struggling with killing him till the very end what makes him more tragic and human after all. For me, it was well made. You really just need to think to understand his motives.
I won't, but don't drop it (on which episode are you?) I've just completed it (struggling A LOT after what happened…
I guess it depends on your personal taste then. If u re looking for mystery, investigation, complex crime drama---> don't drop If you are looking for something lighter, fluffy less demanding (Healer lol) ---> drop, it's going to be more complicated after ep 8 and that's why probably nobody can spoil it (you'll need to tell the whole story)
After reading the reviews and comments I think I am one of the few people who really enjoyed this drama. I thought…
Agree, it captured me and I am usually fussy in terms of romance. Really can't see where 'she was too young' or 'plot was weak' comes from. For me it wasn't unnecessary complicated but was not bad at all, more turned into 'slice of life' drama. Had some plot holes but none too distracting. As for the actress, I thought she was around 23 until somebody pointed out that she is too young.
I respect everyone’s opinion but I do think there are more reasons. The most important one being her dad. Jisoo…
Hah, let us be friends then. That's why it is a good drama.
Ahn was kind of unstable for me, he was overreacting sometimes. I agree that he was just a traumatized young men and despite that, tried to live as good as he could. I just think that he would improve without Ji Soo death, really, there were many options for him to improve his psychometry including Ji Soo's help, not her death.
I do prefer dark drams/movies too. However, despite the fact that this drama was well made and mostly made a lot of sense, Ji Soo death was cheesy. Like it almost made me think of Ahn as of Shōnen characters. It still gives me cheesy vibes like 'Yey they all will fight in the name of love and friendship now' and 'I killed your fav so you can call me George RR Martin ~ best regards, writers'
I hope more people could see that some of us - who didn't like Ji Soo death - aren't just romance lovers who can't stand that they ship was destroyed (real feelings here, I loved them lol) but we also can think and have some arguments why Ji Soo death might be a flaw for us.
edit - After completing whole drama I guess that they wouldn't be able to finish it if Ji So had survived. As I said they could do more with her alive, but they most likely would need another season for that lol. edit2) just found another flaw - WHY NOBODY LET AHN USE PSYCHOMETRY ON JAE IN'S DAD? Like what? he was in the hospital, they had access to him, and nobody even thought about it? xd
can someone tell me the ending. i think im going to drop this one
I won't, but don't drop it (on which episode are you?) I've just completed it (struggling A LOT after what happened in ep 13) but it's worth it. I did lose interest in this drama after ep13. Ep 14 was so so, but 15 and 16 were good. Overall I recommend to not drop it.
This is story telling at its absolute best. We've been given information in bits and pieces, until we're starting…
I highly recommend 'Hello Monster' aka 'I remember you' then. It's my personal choice but I liked it for the same reasons you pointed out here. Many people hated 'Hello Monster' because of female lead so I would recommend to try it and decide if you can bear it or not. Anyway, He Is Psychometric was the first drama since 'I Remember You' that give me the same chills.
Me too, I think there would be great potential if the plot focused also on their long life relationship. Specially…
I hope they don't (after watching Touch Your Heart). Its extremely hard to rebuild the same feelings with same actors without destroying dramas characters (they most likely destroy either reference drama or new drama or just do a boring copy)
I respect everyone’s opinion but I do think there are more reasons. The most important one being her dad. Jisoo…
Yeah, I can see your point. Ji Soo was definitely a meaningful character in this drama, I just wished they played her better as a character. I wished to see more of what she could change and add to the plot as a breathing character, and I think that would be better than actually killing her. Agree on a dad storyline, but about stopping Sung Mo and Ahn not. They could have killed somebody else to achieve the same result (in Ahn case, as far as I could see, he was overreacting overall so killing any of his friends would do ). And if Ji Soo had survived she still could have amazing and interesting interactions with Sung Mo and Ahn. Actually, that would be awesome to watch her being disappointed in Sung Mo, and how would he respond to that. Or maybe Sung Mo would have become the same monster his dad was. Who knows. Even continuous story on their love would be interesting for me (him struggling with his past and emotions, her with her dad etc.) I am not even talking about the happy ending. Just MORE of her well build character. That was what I meant. They could do so many using Ji Soo yet they decided to kill her. Once again - it's not a bad character or plot just a bad choice as for me.
I know somebody said that before, but after ep13 'He is Psychometric' losses points.
I don't really care about main/side character death, but killing Eun Ji Soo was kind of cheap. Yes, I did cry, but after a few minutes, I realized that she actually died for nothing. That was simply 'make a relatable character and kill it, so your drama can be labelled as dramatic, sad or whatever u want'. I wished they do better. We knew that Sung Mo has feelings. She needn't die to prove that. They would have made progress by capturing Sung Mo's dad even if she was alive. Ahn did not improve his psychometric because of Ji Soo death but because of Sung Mo plot twists. Actually, Ji Soo didn't even prove any of her abilities yet. They made Sung Mo more interesting than Lee Ahn, yet killed part of his story that actually made me want to watch this show. Bad choice for me.
Just started watching this, seems interesting. But can anybody explain how Chinese VFX can be 1/10 when current Chinese artists are 10/10? Really low level as for fantasy, I can't believe it's been realised in 2018.
Just rewatched to make sure I did not give a 10 for anything.
I do not get why people would say that the female lead and ending were weak. It might not be your personal preference BUT it made sense and was well scripted. As for Cha Ji An, she was awesome played and written. You might not like her character BUT that does not make her weak. The romance was perfect for me, slow but not unnecessary rushed. Small gestures instead of random jealous scenes and cheesy problems. Even the bromance was bitter-sweet, so it's not for cheesy fluff-lovers. As for the plot - well-written, thrilling, interesting, capturing, touching, intense, pretty much perfect. Amazing drama overall.

8.1 is definitely too high for that.
I knew all of that. What made you think otherwise?
