I'm using a Mac too but I rely on VLC. Maybe try to delete the version you have and install it again? The other option is to hardcode the subs onto the vid, convert it to mov or mkv, and then play it with QuickTime Player.

For people waiting for the finale to get subbed, I think the last episode will make the long waiting time worth it. It's, er, really intense.

The first episode is actually really fun. I loved Nanase and Kento in this. I'm not even a horror fan but I'm looking forward to the rest of the episodes.

No obviously Extracurricular has no direct comparison to this since it's different genres, I was just saying I hope it has the same level of grittiness and depth as that drama did.
