I've noticed that Japanese dramas seem to have shoestring budgets but the production value of Japanese movies is sky high, leading to amazing cinematography. This was one of those simply beautiful Japanese movies, both in terms of visuals and story. The plot wasn't anything new but it was still moving and engaging, buoyed by the amazing acting of Kaya Kiyohara as always. It was a bit slow-paced, as these slice of life Japanese movies tend to be, but still an entertaining watch. 8.5/10 from me.
I said it before and I'll say it again, half the reason they made this drama imo is to give Sally Jing an opportunity to look gorgeous in all those traditional Chinese dresses lol
BTW is your username inspired from Remolove? XDWhat genres do you enjoy watching?
I loved Count of Monte Cristo! Dean looked so handsome in those suits and it was a very suspenseful, tense series even if the ending was a bit of a miss for me.
I loved the book that Byakuyako was based on but the drama was a bit too slow imo.
Hello, I don't understand, psychologically, what does that mean when he talks to his old dark gloomy self? Now…
He's basically telling his past self that things do get better :) I found it very moving tbh. A lot of young people, including me, thought the world was always going to be dark but there is always hope.
What an absolute ride... How to remake a drama with less episodes efficiently. I am impressed.Loved every minute…
I actually disagree, I feel like this version had way more emotional depth. I could feel everyone's love towards each other and the friendship between the characters; in the original, there was no chemistry at all and everything felt lifeless.
I agree though that the Korean drama def had more comedy and the ending had more details in it. I'm satisfied with how the jdrama ended, I just wished it was less rushed.

These pictures are so cute somehow, I want them to be in a romcom sometime
