Sadly, the last two episodes were garbage. I`ll stick to the webtoon ending, made way more sense than what they just did here. Overall, up to 14 episodes was great.
I have strong second male lead syndrome <3 Do Hyuk deserves all the love in the world. I`ve never hated a ML as much as I hate Park Jae Eon. Sigh oh well, still a good series.
For interfans who don't get the idea of what's going on in the trailer, I'll summarize some info here:
This series is adapted from a novel which is written special for zeenunew. the idea was from the ceo of domundi and he requested to the writers to work on the novel.
nunew's role name is kanin (heir / crown prince, best international fencer 🤺) zee's role name is charan (royal bodyguard)
emmaly was a country ruled by monarchy. there was a unique tradition to choose the king in this country which was the princes from all regions had to compete in a competition and the father of the winner would be the next ruler of the country. this kind of competition was done to reduce the tension between those parts of the country.
kanin was one of the candidates. but he lived far away from emmaly and didn't care about seizing the throne agenda, so charan as the royal bodyguard had to force him to come back to the country. after that, they would face obstacles such as people who wanted to vanish kanin while the two of them (kanin & charan) hated each other's guts. in short, kanin was a brat and charan just wanted to do his duty. but because charan protected kanin all the time, their bond then turned into trust, and the trust turned into feelings. they slowly fell for each other.
there's a quote that I like from the novel: "between us, it's just duty. I hope your highness understands."
I believe this series will turn out amazing. the cinematography, editing, acting, and music are already so good in the pilot trailer. the quality of this series will be so high later.

Only one`s I liked through this whole series, other than of course some background characters. The rest was a Big Fat Nope For Me! Also I truly feel like somewhere this series just didn`t understand its assignment and got lost big time. Just my thoughts.
The acting is just the top of top, best of the best. I didn’t think I would feel sad for Jin Yang Cheol, but…
Grampa is getting his karma sadly for his wrong doings. Yes, I`ve seen the same as you, my grandfather just passed away from dementia only two months ago. One of the hardest things to watch.
Loving one in secret, doing sweet things and being there for them doesn't entitle Green to Maito. Green chose not to tell him his feelings, and Maito only sees him as his close friend. So yes, I agree like others, Green should have someone who loves him the same and will put in the same effort.
