Finally completed the series. I gave 10 stars! That's how I love the series, it's unique, funny, and light-hearted ❤ Have been waiting for so long since first watched the trailer, a pleasant surprise when suddently I found it finally airing in iqiyi. They delivered, from plot, production, acting, editing, special effects, ost, I really enjoy all episodes. All the actors are immersed in their respective roles, I become fan ❤❤❤

The ending ost is so good! I like their previous production Sisterhood and also enjoy watching Contenders so far. The story is interesting, the acting are all good. And Yang Xuwen's boxing fighting is so cool! 😍

I really love TBOY and have repeated the epic 1st ep several times. In my opinion, apart from different style, TBOY is more packed with fighting scenes with cool fighting choreagraphy, which a lot of times were cut/skipped in DY. But TBOY director is known for great fighting choregraphy. So after DY, I really hope Dark River can quickly finished and released (I checked it is directed by TBOY director)

Same here. I was bored during ep 1-3 and almost dropped DY, maybe because the editing style is different (I like natural one better like in TBOY). But read somewhere in the comment if you passed ep 4, it'll get interesting. So I tried and it's true. I enjoyed all the ep from 4th onward and even binge watched the latest episodes.

I don't know if it's the problem with writing or Chen Xingxu's charisma is too captivating, I find myself feel annoyed so much by Fei Qiming's character (Cheng Yao). Literally skipped every scenes with him.

Funny, because previously I liked Fei Qiming in his other dramas and variety shows, like See You in The Future, Under the Microscope and Life is Beautiful. I think he suits better in comedy.

I watched DZ during my college days and tried to replicate some of the tricks in the dorama for study motivation. Beautiful youth memories. I'm looking forward to how The Hope adapt it to chinese college culture and the latest digital age

I have sensed Japanese dorama vibe once they introduced Principal Lou. My guess was Great Teacher Onizuka. Happily surprised that it is actually adapted from Dragon Zakura. Both GTO and DZ are really good dorama (and manga). And there was Yamapi in DZ (I always feel he and Neo Hou a bit look alike).

Wonder if screenwriter and ZRY ever watched DZ when they were young, since we all same born in 80's.

Anyway, I'll gladly enjoy The Hope. First episode was great. ZRY and all the cast act really good. Hopefully it'll keep interesting till the end

Both are adapted from novels from the same author. It has the same general premise where the FL fell in love first, but then the ML fell harder.
HL sticks to original story, while WIFTY's director (cat's tree) made adjustment to the story which for me personally made the drama even more heartwarming.
There were no close friendship between ML & FL with the 3 friends in novel. ZLR and GR were just deskmate. The FL was also softer and more innocent in drama, and the actress acted it so well that I feel she's so adorable and both ML & FL are so perfectly cute couple.
I watched WIFTY twice (on Youku and Netflix), because personally I feel more related with high school dramas and they gave me nostalgia (I miss high school time).

Sad there's no new episode. So I watch the leads' other dramas. Joseph's Heroes and will watch Tian Xiwei's Lovely Us. For those who haven't watched, Joseph's Ultimate Note and TXW's Wrong Carriage, Right Groom are very recommended!

Yes there are multiple endings. I forgot the details since it has been a long time ago. Only remember one of the ending is zhang pengpeng back to modern world (back to her original male) and the king became one of the doctors in the hospital

I started Our Secret and Mr Bad but only up to 2 episodes. Will continue watching those two dramas while waiting for new episodes. He's really good in variety shows too. I finished binge watching youth periplous 4. Very hilarious!

I was also like you. But hey, the fact that they gave alternate ending meaning that they heard and understand viewers' heart. So I'll give the production crew a benefit of doubt this time
