It's really funny with the trainees' interactions and especially during the press conference. I laugh a lot of times with the trainees' antics and innocence.
It's available for free both on iqiyi and wetv apps, but no subs yet as of this moment. Hopefully they add the subs soon
I only have one thing to say about the movie: the visuals were so amazing. It one of the first movies I've watched…
Try douluo continent. I just watched the first episode and I was hooked! The camera work and cinematography is the kind that I like. It's available on WeTV app
It's actually a really poetic and heartbreaking love story. The empress was originally a girl with the demon serpent…
My assumption is releasing the serpent wouldn't kill the princess. It would just revoked the youthfullness, so the princess would return to become an ordinary girl/woman and would age like normal people.
And remember, he shou ye was bound to guard the princess forever. Thus, when the princess died, he shou ye would lose his reason to live.

Explanation about he shou ye's obsession with fulfilling the mission was revealed towards the movie ending. It somehow confused me: was he shou yue just fulfilling the mission or was he also fell in love with the empress besides the mission?

The empress was originally a girl with the demon serpent sealed in her body. Because of that, she retained youthfulness, but at the same time she had to change identity everytime to avoid people's suspicion. This has been going on for several centuries, too long time that she had forgotten many things even her own names. The last identity she got was when she was picked by the emperor and made into an empress.
Then she met qing ming's master (when the master was still young) and they both fell in love with each other. Unfortunately they couldn't be together because the love felt by the empress had started to evoke the emotion that could feed the demon serpent in her body.
Thus the master left, but he created a spirit servant as powerful as himself to guard the empress and it since became the spirit servant's mission to guard the empress forever. The spirit servant's name was he shou ye.
As time goes by, he shou ye became obssessed with his mission, and at one point he changed his look into the master's since the empress was lovesick with the master. But deep in her heart, the empress knew however identical he shou ye's look after, he was not the master.
Since the real master died, he shou ye also started to deteriorate (?). Thus he and the empress planned to release the demon serpent, so it can get into he shou ye's body and made him immortal, in order to fulfill his mission to guard the empress forever.
I will try to answer some of the questions based on how I inferred it XD1. The hair demon hated the princess for…
For question no 4, I'm more inclined to your answer a - the demon serpent sealed in her body kept the empress young. She was originally not an empress, but a girl with the demon serpent sealed in her body. It had been going on since too long time ago and she had changed identity many times that she herself had forgotten many memories, even her own names. The last one she became an empress after the emperor pick her and made her an empress. The altar scene, I assume was a flashback of her first encounter with Qing Ming's master (not he shou ye - he shou ye is the spirit servant created by qing ming's master to guard the empress). And the master asked "How long has it been going on (the serpent demon sealed in your body)?" and she answered "It has been going on for several centuries. (I have) forgotten"
True! I think Cheng xiao's acting could have been better. I felt like after her character when to the mountains…
I have seen her other previous dramas, but yeah unfortunately her acting skill hasn't improved since then. Yue hua should hire an acting coach to give intensive training to cheng xiao. Otherwise, they should stop giving her main leads and give supporting leads instead. Who knows, her acting can improve since it's less pressure. I've seen a few actresses who started off with wooden acting on their first few dramas and got better with experience as years go by. So I hope the same goes with cheng xiao.
Woah... first episode and I'm hooked. I really like the camera work and angle, and the beautiful landscape and the detailed tiny expression changes from xiao zhan's acting. Such an incredible actor. The cgi is not bad either. Background music is also beautiful. Kudos to the production team!
Edit: ouchh the awkwardness! Seems like tang san should have been a teenager, much younger than xiao zhan's actual age and appearance. But, xiao zhan's acting performance was so good, that this small mistake I can easily ignore. The awkwardness only occurs everytime tang san calls uncle to a character that looks more like a brother to him, than an uncle.

I watched the movie while listening to the original dialogue (mandarin) and only read the subtitle if there are words that I don't understand.
