Tbh, I'm not sure how some consider this light and fluffy? I would rather label it as beautifully sad.
I mean,... as someone who loves their pets enormously, I felt so sad with each episode when they even implied Hong Jo "leaving". Or how his love was so pure, that he sacrificed his time simply to be there for her and wait for her most of the time. And how pets get abandoned all the time, even multiple times (just like some children, as we have seen).
It was a harsh reality and not so light and fluffy. Even their romance was full of pain, desperation and sacrifices made (from Hong Jo, as well as Jae Sun). And for both couples, they have waited 10 years to get even a bit closer to a happy ending - the secondary couple did get there at the end, while the main couple was just trapped in a stalemate, waiting - always waiting (either Sol Ah & Hong Jo waiting for him to magically turn back into a human for just a second more, or Sol Ah & Jae Sun waiting on the unavoidable tragic ending and the chance to start over and heal together).
Who hasn't kissed their pet, cuddled with them, fed them - and/or even showered with them (well gave them a bath and then ended up all soaked)? All of it in a non-romantic way, but as soon as the pet is shown as human, things change and we get an instant relationship, whilst if it stayed a cat, we would never think of it that way. So, should it really be tagged as romance and interspecies relationship? I find both possibilities cute, but still not sure which one I think it was.
I think there should be a fine line made between the series and the novel. It can't be said that there is a rape scene in the series, as there was none. Morality is questionable regarding their first encounter as Mark was drunk, but they both were happy in the morning. However, as mentioned, the novel is quite a different story.

I think the main issue was that they didn't show well the time passing. In episode 2 (the last part) where Mark and James are talking, Mark said that Vee said he liked him, but then James mentioned that it has been almost a year since Mark told Vee he likes him first. So that means that between a bit after the first bar scene and the breakup, they have been in a secret relationship for almost a year. With that in mind, their love makes more sense, but the secrets make less sense.
I'm so in love with Zee's acting! It was absolutely beautiful <3 And to imagine he only did a few smaller roles before. I hope to see more of him and soon :)
I loved that there were a lot of drink-related names :D I enjoyed the show a lot, it was simple and funny, just what you need to relax a bit. If anyone is curious, it is not BL (not even censored or implied), but they do joke about it a bit (hence the bromance tag). The series is very short, so I would recommend watching it, even if it's not necessarily your cup of tea.

I don't think she did that to hurt Meng, but rather to "get rid of the one thing that links her to him" (as horrible as that sounds). I do agree, however, that the relationship was toxic.

Well said. I think, he loved Nuch and was into her as much as he was into Tod - meaning he was not gay but bi/pan. So I don't see anything wrong with him marrying Nuch if he would do it solely because he loved her and wanted to be with her and not because he was questioning his love for someone else. But I completely agree that he should not have cheated. Even if he does love two people the same (as a poly person myself, I can relate), as long as the one he is in a relationship with doesn't consent to him being with another person, that is totally off-limits. In the end, as much as he was hurting emotionally and I would like to comfort him, he was the one that made mistakes and has to live with the consequences - so I agree with your last point as well, it makes complete sense that the end was like it was. It was the most realistic one and a happy fluffy ending (even though I am dying for one) wouldn't do it justice.

I love how simple it was for them to connect in the beginning. No questions, just pure desire. You can see that Bank was interested in more, that's why it is confusing when Jack reveals he is transgender and Bank says he's not gay. After all the gay sex they had and after he agreed to have more of it just a few minutes prior. Also, since Jack presents as a girl, wouldn't that make Bank being with him more straight? ;)
