This is really interesting, because as kdramas get more popular around the world, ppl will wrongly associate everything they see there as the "real" korea when it's nothing like that on the ground. A lot of money is being pumped into the shows now, origins unknown, to create "unreal" ideas about a people and land, some of these are harmless, and may even be stuff of fancy, you know, like that everyone has those model good looks and clothes in Seoul - enough for dreamy nobodies back home in Kansas to talk about their Emerald City, but what if other ideas start to prosper too, to whitewash or even revision korean history, like key events and people, what if?! How would the Dorothy's of the world know?
