My theory is the target being unconscious set the beginning of time travel sequences. The first time travel always lands at when the target waking up after some incident. Then subsequent jumps continue from one another. But I can't find the logic behind the final one where HYX jumped to before the target's death after already experiencing it.

Perhaps gay wasn't accepted as much in 2010 as now? Even though it wasn't a case, they're always people who accept and people who don't, in different degrees, depending on which society you're living in. And there're people who choose death to escape their problems and people who don't. So I don't think the plot is totally unrealistic. They could've chosen more typical issues like love triangle, school bullying, family problem etc. then another group of audience might find difficulty to relate to the plot instead.

Your comment made me notice how much the drama has accomplished by minimum CG/special effects being used for its supernatural genre. The time travels were achieved by only neat acting and editing. The "light house" scenes surprised me at first that they were made of simple clothes and few projectors which almost looked low-budget but it worked surprising well to convey its meaning. I like how the team totally invested their effort into the most important things of a great drama: story, directing, and acting.
