I pray this happens, because the amount of bully the leads are getting is ridiculous. Blame the director or even the production for the AI what the actors ??... I pray this gets them to greener pastires.

The director did a disservice to this show by using so much AI, but I would say it's a good plot and even better actors all round give it a chance and let the drama speak to you. For more read my review, I don't do much reviews but it seems they are people who are making it their bread and butter to hate on this show so let me give it some love I could find after giving it a chance.

And I think more tragic is that he understands his place in this game of her life. He is the sacrifice that has to be made for her happiness and like every abused child who can't seperate themsleves from their parent, and making your protector and provider happy is first and foremost, he not only understood but accepted his role "this is my duty to fulfill and I do so with selfless abandon" (reminds me of my adventure in Indian and Pakistani dramas were parents make decisions for their children without consulting the grown children because as a parent it is their right).

From how Pio was brought up it is easy to see why he can literally lay his life down in front of JY with such conviction and certainty. Especially a JY who asked him "how can music be more important than your life" and I which we could depend time with JY as he comes to terms with all that has happened.


All I can think about is the fact that he not only caused pain to Pio but to himself because he gives me the vibes of "if my left hand sins (hurts Pio) I will cut it off".

Her crying does nothing for me.. And thats how I know the actress failed me.

I was having a conversation about this show with the last episode and the fact that the director 1) lingered on a picture of the Madona 2) the mom is catholic 3) the mother kept saying "Pio is a gift from God" 4) Pio seems to always bear the brunt of other people's sins - the teacher's baise due to his mother, grandpa hating him for being born and JY thinking it was Pio

which all connected back to his mother made me think of the hail Mary prayer "hail Mary full of grace the lord is with thee blessed are thou amoungst all women and blessed is the fruit of thy womb jesus" he was born to carry the sins of his mother (maybe others in the show) and possibly get sacrificed for them (I.e episode 11). He was born to save and he couldn't do that one task no matter how hard he tried all his life. Even with grandpa, him wanting his recognition also stems from how much his mother needed a father and that man just remained an A-hole.

JY is why I have way said people didn't have far sight about his character. His current suffering was just a shadow of the pain that was to come after all the cats were out of the bag, worry about then. How will this man survive??

Watching this episode from JY's point of view made me realise that... Dating or wanting to date a suicidal person requires strength. He had me at the edge of my seat and I realised how frustrating and infuriating it most be on JY who is also very possessive, aggressive and obsessed about this boy.

This writer is trying to push the family card down my throat but there is no space. .. But it goes to show that at the end of the day she cares for her show and nothing else, last episode he was nothing and this episode he was the star of her 80th anniversary show, that's the only reason.

That was the only thing truly connecting them and Pio took it away from him too.

As long as we all agree that two nice words from that man does not now make him a decent person.

That's all I need.

1) Rest in peace evil grandpa, in your next live be kinder to your pregnant adult duagther that only had you in her life while the world laughed at her for falling pregnant unmarried and ruining her career. And also extend that kindness to her son. You cannot plant hatred and be surprised when a hateful tree grows of of the ground. For now go let God forgive you, as for me I will not be brainwashed by your sudden righteous preaching. EFF YOU.

But  the thing that hurts the most is knowing that the culture and teachings Pio and I come from, will tell us to forgive our elders and move on "after all that's what a dutiful child should do" . And I know Pio will forgive him and the writer will sweep all the abuse under a rug with a few words of "wisdom" from gramps 😑.

2) Pio ama,  like Mary the mother of jesus they point and mocked at her and she proceeded to truly produce a gift from God and made that gift her entire existence and shield, that boy proceeded to bare her sins and also pay for them all through his life. Even to the very end he blames himself for not doing enough and being enough.

I am just happy she finally asked her father "why were you not kind to him?" not even accept his music talent or accept him as your grand son, but "kindness". This woman who only had this father, who expected so much from her, who thought the only way to get kindness towards her son from her father, was to make him a talent that her father could recognise ( this reminds me of the conversation between Nikki Giovanni and James baldwin about love and faking it, grandpa was kinder and nicer to everyone except his family, anyone out there would say great things about him as a person or mentor but his on family only ever got his hatred/true self and this is the result).

I see people getting angry about the prison scene and her getting a redemption arc but let me copy and past a comment : there is a level of narcissism, emotional manipulation, filial piety and "but she is your mother" "she has done so much for you" "but it's only because she loves you" that some children from traditional, religious, conservative, family and community oriented countries will understand."

It is an ingrained trauma society and your family make you live with.

Your astonishment and anger is justified, but somany of us were brought up to apologise for our parents mistakes and also apologise for failing them. This is why I also feel very little for grand pa because everyday I watch people like this in my life, who are parents because community and God said so not because they even wanted or knew how to raise children (shout out to my first generation immigrant children I am sure it's like watching the process for which you have to use to forgive your parents who did hell to you, but sacrificed so much to raise you in a hostile country, your pain goes in vain be brainwashed in peace 😅).

You were never going to win, and I wish the people who kept pushing the JY suffered more understood that the fact that you LOVE Pio more than your own self was going to be your downfall. I wish they worried more about the actual suffering that was still to come because harming Pio was literally you harming your self.

And when grandpa talked about that song being that last thing composed before the morzat died I went "don't you dare 🤬, leave this boy alone" you are not dh7ng

The only thing I wish for is that they spend more time in you heart trying not to break over hurting your boyfriend.

But honestly having Pio as a boyfriend is stressful business 😓😓. This man had JY on a roller coaster ride this episode. I felt that frustration, aggression and obsession as he tried to understand what was going on why Bio as usual did the only thing he knows how to do which is sacrifice himself for the people he loves.

5) Dear Bio "Lamb of God you take away the sins of your mother, please have mercy on JY" set JY free. I think only JY truly understands what he feels for Pio, this idiot still needs some self analysis as to why he was 100% sure that music was for him and JY could never let another artist play it.

6) After the interview with the writer and director, I could watch this episode for JY 50 times, what this man felt how his expressions changed as he followed a d watched Pio, how this is truly the axis he revolves around and could never break free and every body else sees it but Pio who is only use to hatred and recognises only hatred.

I will never stand by grandpa propaganda... That scene was perfect that man as the head of that family lead them into ruins. Like she said all that was needed was kindness from him towards that boy, this is how generational trauma goes from parent to child to grnad child he could have ended it but instead of the kindness he has been preaching recently because he is dying he choosed hatred for 27 years... Mother dearest has seen the light she is claiming her own faults it's time for that old man to know apart from a conductor and a cheater he was a shtty father and grand father and this is the monster he created. Doing a nice voice over in this episode is fooling no one.

I can ignore all Pio vs JY suffering slander but never a post supporting grandpa. "the west remembers"

What you have explained here is why I can never hate JY, because he has been through so much and will go through even more when he realises that he caused his love this much pain. That aggression and obsession can go outwards but also inwards.

To hate on Pio is to not understand that JY is because Pio is. You can either stand by both or by none.

I am about to say something harsh baby JY none of these people ever gave a single Eff about you. You were a random talented student they only knew for 3 to 6 months and were going to use you fro their own selfishness if you didnt die.

You rose again after 9 years and still the same sh*t. You are looking for recognition as human where Pio has tried and failed for 27 years. You were a tool just like Pio because even after the "talented genius" died they still made do with the so called " soulless genius".

All these questions shouldnt be asked from people you knew for 4 months disappeared without a trace and their moved on.

Ask the father who abandoned you (he is your parent) or the man who searched for you (the only one attached enough to care) , but not the woman who tried to kill you because make no mistake she will do it again and the rest will still keep on living their lives with you in there or not.

One last thing Pio is not more important than you to anyone other than Jae in and this girl is inlove. We know were teacher grandpa and grandma stand (you are all tools in this game called life), as for mother dearest "Pio her son" is not important "Pio the gift from God" was sent to save her and she will not anyone get in God's way.

So in conclusion all that hurt and again can only be directed at Pio because he is the only one that actaully would have fcks to give and in his-passive none active I am a decent punching bag, who strives under abuse- way, can find a responsible bone in thier body.

One of the reasons why this arc hurts so much is because all JY is doing is causing himself more pain, this is in character with him when it comes to his emotions towards Pio tjat possessiveness and aggression has always been there (high school first rejection) and this time it will years him apart but at them same time he has to let it out and only Pio cares enough to stand a take the blows, but this is the one time I wish Pio wasn't a trained abuse receiver, because thinking he is being responsible by being the person JY can piont a fingeer to will cause more harm than good.

I have a question what exactly and who exactly does he need to forgive and forget?? And why would it/should it be impossible in the future??

It's not only his fingers not responding properly, he had a panic attack lost control of his own hands, who then proceeded to play and went limp in front of all the people on this earth that were already expecting him to fail. In this entire show that scene spoke to me.

Pio sees himself as an extension of his mother that is why he is the Lamb (lamb of God/ her gift from God) he not only bears his sins but her sins as well ( also notice that the way the other adults treat Pio is never directly in honesty his burden to carry but an extension of someone else's burden who he is now getting the brunt of - grand being angry at the mother/ the teacher and the mother/ the grandma, grandpa and the mother/ and now the final show down JY and all the adults-

They kept showing the Madona, mom is catholic aka 'hail Mary' and now writer called him a sheep (Lamb).
