From what I've noted is that a lot of poular dramas seem to not have a good douban rating at the starting because they are negative review bombed. With a few exceptions ofcourse. Again I'm not an expert but I believe cnetizens always do this. Just recently some other airing dramas that seem to be doing well are in the 5.0 douban rating. I'm always seeing this discussion on how douban ratings are bad at start and then they slowly climb as the real viewers rate the drama. So I wouldn't worry about this at all. Lets wait and see how it goes. And FOF does seem to have a lot of watchers, I saw others talking about it being the 2nd most watched drama in China rn, and it reached 8500 heat index which is decent, hoping it increases. I think saying the drama is not successful is a reach right now.

Its in ep 8 where WX says that "you're the one standing in between the two of us". You'll understand when you watch it! I don't want to spoil anything for you 😛 I'm on ep 12 and right now it doesnt feel like ZYC has feelings for WX. From my perspective the long stares are more so about ZYC's changing feelings for ZYZ from enemies to companions and then friends and the dilema that he's the murderer of his father and brother. Also I think ZYC is protective over WX so he doesn't let ZYZ get too close to her, ofcourse since they are childhood friends.
A lot of bromance moments in here 😂 you're going to love it! ZYZ × ZYC have amazing chemistry but they definitely won't become a thing since Chinese censorship doesn't allow it. Also the romance between the leads is cute too, its nice and slow.

I don't even know if the love triangle is even between ZYZ × WX × ZYC. ZYC has never really showed romantic feelings towards WX. Their relationships seems more friendly for now, we'll have to see how it develops in the future. Right now WX × ZYZ × ZYC seems more plausible, I mean it was even said in the drama itself 😅😆

I'm really surprised, people realy seem to hate BCF even though he hasn't exactly turned 'evil' yet.
I think i can understand where he is coming from. From the start of the show we've known he really wanted fame and power. He hasn't been secretive about it. Everyone around him knows his desire for power. But is that really bad? All of us have desires, all of us want to succeed in different things. We just don't go around announcing it. If we do our marerialistic desires are definitely going to sound selfish and self centered. But to live a person needs to be selfish to a certain extent. So I really don't understand why people hate BCF for being direct, rather I believe its respectable. Not everyone lives for a noble cause.
Also BCF killing Guan Qi was seen negatively because Guan Qi was helpless and already defeated? I believe BCF didn't kill him for prestige or for fame but for revenge as he clearly said so. He isn't as forgiving as our protag boy and the differences in their thinking and beliefs is very obvious. Guan Qi was no angel and deserved no sympathy.
Also the assault incident on LC, why the heck do people think BCF did it? BCF has been very open with his acts whether people like it or not he does things that he thinks are right. Assaulting LC like that serves no purpose and doesn't match with his character at all. We've been made very aware of BCFs feelings and acts and he doesn't do anything for the intent of being evil or harming others. He does things that serve his purpose and does them in front of everbody.
So yes BCF is definitely going to become 'evil' however I think some of his actions are being blown out of proportion just because he isn't the typical goody good character. BCF is more human, more real.
Ofcourse there are things I could be wrong about but this is where my feelings stand as of right now.

I've seen the donghua and I'm not disappointed at all. I'm actually very excited for the coming episodes! I hope you’ll continue watching, the changes might turn for the best!
