OMG I'm watching this drama now and let me tell you.... I'm dying its sooooo cool and the actors are sooo talented…
Omggg, I literally just talked about how I hope that she doesn’t die like those good characters in kdramas. I’m on ep 7. Have you finished it? Can you please spoil me as well? Because I hate sad surprises.
Ep 7 in and I can’t say that Min did not deserve those slaps (Well maybe just 1 slap is enough). Because her character is WOW. I wanna pull all of my hair out because of how frustrated I am with her. Literally, from the beginning she acts like she is better than Sila. She judged him from the first meeting as adults without knowing anything about him or the circumstances that he was in. Blatantly assumed that he abused the girl because he brought a bleeding girl to the hospital. Like what is wrong with you? My goodness. Then literally judged him because his job and assumed that he caused the girl to commit suicide because she saw him in the hospital. Oh my goodness I am even stressed out typing this. But anyway, then she CONSTANTLY INSULTED him about his job. She literally didn’t give him any respect from the beginning and had the gut to say that she treats people depending on who she thinks is good or bad. She literally can’t judge if a person is good or bad at all if she lets her sis and step mom treats her like that. On top of that this lady is EXTREMELY NOISY! 1. Assumed that Sila abused the girl in ep 1 when it wasn’t even her problem. 2. Assumed that he led her to kill herself when it’s not even her problem. 3. Meddle with her sis and Sila’s problem after being told again and again that it’s not her business. I saw someone commented that she acts like she’s smart, but she’s actually not and I freaking agree. I’m sorry for a long rant. I had to or I won’t be able to keep my sanity with this character. The only things that are helping me persevere through this is Tor’s Character and acting. As well as the revenge plot which is going quite well in Tor’s case. I find that what he did towards his step brother was very clever. And I really like aunt Mam! Hopefully she doesn’t die like those good characters in Kdramas.
Wow, thank you so much for taking your time in writing such a detailed article. This was such an insightful article honestly. I absolutely didn't know a thing about cinematography until I read your article today (so thank you). I watched "Come and Hug Me" when it was airing. I was very reluctant in the beginning because I've always tried to steer away from crime, mystery type of dramas simply due to the fact that I'm a scaredy cat lol. However, this drama was one of the best drama I've ever watched (even without noticing about the cinematography details, but after reading your article, I definitely have a deeper appreciation for this drama). The plot was amazing. It was intense at one point, and then sweet at the next (definitely made my toes curled). Each important characters had his/ her own role and or story. I was intrigued not only with the main characters' stories, but also the supporting characters as well (and that's quite rare in a drama for me. This may be the only drama that was able to do that.) . The acting was absolutely perfect. Every actors and actresses did their job perfectly, even the young actors and actresses. But the actor who played Yoon Hui Jae though. Oh my gosh. Whenever he came on, I always hated it because I would get so scared and anxious oh my gosh. So I would like to give a round of applause for the actor who played Yoon Hui Jae because his acting rought the drama up another level. With a different actor, I feel like this drama wouldn't be as great as it is because from the very beginning the actor had already scared the light out of me, but he was able to keep his intensity and raise it. Although I haven't rewatched the drama yet (like I said I'm a scaredy cat lol), I might watch it again. But I definitely think I'll have much more appreciation towards the production team. Thank you so much once again for this article.
Thanks for the color, That makes me even happier I dropped. You have much more patience than I. I would have surely…
That's alright honestly. It just depends on personal preference of different people. There have been many times when I had to drop popular dramas because they weren't my preference. So I understand. Have a good day.
I definitely agree with you that the female lead's acting in the beginning was super dramatic. Just like you, I was gonna give up on it and was thinking to myself "why did people in the review section said the acting was great?" However, it definitely got better as times went on though. The thing that I have to justify is that Jinmi was quite naive because she never left the Floral Realm (even perhaps the Water Mirror) before Xu Feng came. So she was being exposed to new things. And like I said, her acting was definitely on point for me from ep 46 to the end (I was skipping eps 34-46 because those were the evil episodes, and I hate evil episodes.). The crying scenes, the angry scenes, the hurting scenes, etc the female lead carried it out perfectly to me. And I was definitely moved by her acting afterwards. I definitely felt that she was connected to her character. I felt like she was actually experience those pains instead of just acting.
