This is the first lakorn I've watched and I loved it soooo much! The acting was superb and the chemistry was just so good. Although I have to agree that in terms of writing it was a bit messy towards the end.
On the first watch, I was also confused on the part about Thien liking Muey since their school days while at the beginning he seems to hate the idea of marrying her. But upon thinking further and watching a second time, I have my theory on this.
I think that yes, he liked her since way back, but it was more of a puppy love/crush at first and not full-on love. After Muey started living with his family, he got used to her presence so much that he treats her more as a 'little sister' rather than a potential partner, without realizing what he's truly feeling. This was evident when he woke up in the hospital after almost drowning, and he complains about not seeing her for days. He was so used to having her around! If he doesn't care about her that much, I don't think he'd be looking for her (and being all grumpy about it too ?).
And as their marriage life progressed, he then started to think differently, especially when he realized she would leave him (cliche, but hey it worked). Which finally brought him to the realization that he's always liked here all this time.
