I have NEVER understood why these stupid fictional characters never call the police. Somebody kidnaps your son to blackmail you and go along with that shit. They go on to have one of the cutest, healthiest partnerships in dramaland. The beginning is slow and tedious because they are both not perfect. The general gives her man the self confidence he needs to go on to achieve great things and he gives her the emotional support that she has been lacking in her life since she has been on the battle field avenging her parents and fighting for her country. He is smart while she is strong and together they are unstoppable.

You know, something I noticed in this drama is that all the families have more realistic family dynamics. A prefect example is the 'mean' mother of the fl's family. She went into a burning building to save the FL, especially when she didn't have to. It shows that while there are petty squabbles because people live together, at the end of the day, they are still family.

The "groom" tried to rape her at a temple, raping someone is not ok but at a temple of all places. She was very resourceful in how she handled it because obviously he is not the type to take no for an answer.

Different cast, crew and writer. So why are your expectations from a different show- which I also loved btw, biasing how you see this show?
