That was some ending...after everything was it all Art's dream as the last shot showed him coming to with his head still bandaged after Golf had smashed it open when they first met? I'm ok with that...at least it makes for a season 2

WOW!! You're name's all over this page and I was just curious how you have so much time to devote to it...I've only ever made comments on two BL series HIS 3 MODC and this one...that's how special it is to me...I said I was done and moving on in my last comment due to time constraints but I just had to respond to some of what you say...you obviously know so much more about this series than I do bc of the amount of time and research you've devoted to it...for sure I agree with many of your conclusions...the most important being why Tofu decided to allow his life as a human to come to an end...he didn't want to follow the path of Nut's parents or Saen and Jan in their selfish and murderous actions so he decided to give Tarn back the life he borrowed from him...that was his belief in "truth and righteousness"...no problem with that...but my concern is why Tofu thought he would be helping Nut to regain his happiness with Tarn...Nut was already seriously happy and in love with Tofu and , after ten years, he couldn't have known that Nut would still have the same feelings for Tarn or Tarn for Nut ...that was high risk playing with Nut's feelings like that...Tofu didn't have the right to make decisions for Nut and that was probably Tofu's only selfish action...for sure, Nut should have had the option to choose either Tofu or Tarn but that could never happen because bothTofu and Tarn couldn't be alive at the same time...would Nut have agreed to sacrifice Tofu to bring Tarn. out of his coma..that's a seriously difficult question to answer...my guess is he would not have sacrificed Tofu bc he loved him so much... and, after all, Tarn was his past and just memories...I'm done for sure and see you in the next BL/gay series that can equal or better this one...

We're all talking about the ending but I just wanna add this...there was so much thought gone into this series stimulating thought-provoking life-challenging issues...and mostly dealt with really well and sympathetically...especially LGBTQ+ issues...what I don't get is why a guy who likes other guys should be treated any different...he talks and looks the same as heteros and is just a normal guy who loves the same...not saying about myself haha...let them get on with their lives, be who they are and love who they want!! just wanna say all the actors did great but, for me, Job (Nut) and In (Tofu) stole the show...they were super awesome together but I especially liked Job...he's new to me but what an actor...we're the same age and I like him a lot...awesome, epic series and for me it's up there with the best...

This is one of those times when I wanna get so involved with all the comments...but I'm just super busy what with work and personal stuff going down...but damn it's not gonna stop me just one more time...TMOTB has had a major impact on me just like so many of you,,,your comments are clear on that...I so much wanted end game for Nut/Tofu (in his human form) to be together...to all of you who say that wouldn't be realistic listen up!!...if it's realistic at the beginning for a teddy bear to turn human... why is it suddenly unrealistic for that bear to stay as a human for ever...contradictions there for sure...but the answer's in the title...MIRACLE...that's what was needed for Nut and Tofu at the end...maybe an alternative ending (been done before) or a season 2 when Tofu comes back for Nut...come on Netflix...DO THE RIGHT THING

You know what...I did like the ending we saw in ep 16 bc in the end it's what I expected even though not what I wanted...but now I feel cheated and not sure how I feel bc I've seen that the last two eps and some scenes from the finale ep have been cut due to pressure from Netflix...and that's changed the whole impact of Nat and Tofu ending...tbh I'm gutted after spending 24 hours totally invested in this series...there's talk about a three hour special showing the cut scenes even though it doesn't change the fact that Tofu still dies..at the end it was between Tofu or Tarn that could survive - not both....throughout we were shown how much Nat loved Tofu much more than Tarn imo...so nothing short of an alternative ending showing Tofu stays alive as a human with Nat end game is gonna cut it...bc that's the ultimate miracle we were looking and hoping for in the title...that's how it could have played out...it's not reality but a fantasy after all...

If what I've read some commenters are hinting at is right that Teh and Oh are def gonna split, go their separate ways and meet up again some years later and maybe rekindle their love for each other...sounds like a similar outcome to that for Shu Yi and Shi De in We Best Love:Fighting Mr 2nd (what an awesome series, go watch it if you haven't seen it already)...makes for a super climax and I guess would be the best outcome for all those who want Teh and Oh to break up and those who want them to be together, that includes me, as it doesn't look like a season 3 is gonna happen...so we need closure for Teh and Oh, either move on with their lives without each other or try to salvage their relationship...tough call...but whatever they choose I want them to be happy...that'd be cool for me...

Definitely a must re-watch for me. The story of Xiang and Yu is so filled with tenderness but heartbreak too. Gotta be one of the best BL series out there. Wayne and Huang are just awesome in their roles and the chemistry between them so mindblowing. They gotta be destined for more dramas/series, hopefully together. I'm doing the re-watch now but that ending is always there bugging me and tbh I'm dreading it. It totally destroyed me first time round. Like other comments, think I'll stop at episode 9 when all is great between them, issues resolved and they're destined for a super life together. That is until a "happy ending" alternative is released like the one between Xie Yan and Shu Nian in the Chinese movie "Uncontrolled Love". That would be something and excited to see.
