Perhaps internationally, Shin Hye Sun is not as popular as they are, but if you search, you will find that she is well known in SK for her good acting. ALM managed to get those rating just because of the female lead, the script was terrible and her partner too.
I don't watch TKEM so I don't know how bad this drama is but I totally agree with you, the rating are similar but the time slop are different. TKEM is broadcast on Friday and Saturday, so it should normally attract more viewers, but it only managed to get 5-8%. If the time was different, I'm sure the score will be lower.
This is literally a double failure if we think of all the money invested for this drama ...
I currently watching and I really don’t like the female lead character I hope it will change later because it might annoy me . I know there is also a romance but i really hope it won’t take all the place. I not big fan of romance unless they have a chemistry. Here Han Ji Won litteraly have zero chemistry with the 2 males leads.
Finally I decided to drop this drama all the characters for me are unlikable, the story is predictable + I don't’want to waste my time. 8.7 really ?? It’s a bit overrated imo
