Oh yeah, I've seen other works of hers. I really think it is just the way the characters were written. The cast is stellar.

I stuck with it and I've made it to episode 4; it has gotten better.

I've just started watching and so far, I agree. I get his character completely and I appreciate him. I am not a fan of the 2 main female characters. They seem very 1 dimensional.

Given my very seasoned experience personally on and off screen with serial killers, I can ensure you this storyline is nowhere near "the best", but after episode 2 it started getting better.

I'm confident in my first suspicion of who it is.

Especially when they're tying so hard to make him seem like an animal loving, sensitive, weak guy.

They had no qualms showing Prof Lee and granny getting killed, so I'm thinking my initial hunch was right.

I'm sticking with it a little longer.

I'm just glad that ridiculous old detective from episode one was not the main detective.
