oh hi wandering! Just wanted to tune in real quick to add my unnecessarry but totally necessary opinion. XD I personally don't really have a set of actors that I LOVE for their looks. I see lists going aroun whos prettier? whos the most handsome ? yada yad yada I call bull*t I as a viewer who is most of the time darn critical about almost evrything can agree. Did I think long and deep about it before your article? no. Do I aprecciate a six pack? YEs Do I agree with what you wrote? also yes. This doesn't only apply to kdramas but to almost the whole international drama market. I would like to put the unintentional or unnecessary shirtless scenes into the clichees category. Like when The fml wears a super tight mini skirt. Or ooops the heel broke kinda clichee. Yes I notice these unintentional "sexy" or ditzy moments wayyyy more with FMLs but the Mls have to bear alot of clichee or objectification too. It appears everywhere. Dramas, movies, kpop, adverts. And when we get exposed to something for along time what happens? Yes we get used to it. We do not question it.
It is always good to get a little reminder to be more aware and maybe think about such obvious ways to get attention afterwards. I try to do that after I watch a show or movie. Mostly I focus on tropes and streotypes because that is what tends to irritate me the most, BUT thank you for your little note it Imma keep it marked!!!!!
where did you watch it? I cant find it anywhere /:
Oh what a pity. Still Im thankful. Yeah it is VERY hard to find dramas, even though alot of them are really awesome. You can message ne anytime if you find a working link (人 •͈ᴗ•͈)
Omg this might be something I would try. Im always stuck in a drama slump after I complete a series that absolutely stole my heart. It's like this everytime and leaves me moody, impatient and the secret belief that no other drama will ever catch my attention again. It sets my bar unbelievably high. Im not a patient person when it comes to "mediocre" dramas that you just try to sit through. Actually "what happens to my family" did catch my attention but I judt pushed it onto my long ptw full of other endlessly long dramas I would never pick up. Your article was actually a good insight and maybe it might help my drama slump
I'm very picky when it comes to dramas I want to watch. I tend to drop dramas very quickly if it doesn't catch…
Omg SAME I relate. My attention span also tends to be very short especially with mediocre dramas and I often times have problems when the plot is too messy and complicated. The movie is called one smile is very alluring if you meant the fantasy pictures
When I get bored with one countries dramas, I switch to another country, but my favorite is Japanese dramas. I…
I understand your point. I also started out with kdramas and then switched to jdramas. Now in 2020 I try to not go by country but by plot. Jdramas are great to me in the sense that they feel "thoughtful" and more natural
Great article - thanks. I'm finding that I'm in huge disagreement with many drama watchers on this point, however:…
Thanks for your opinion! I think what would potentially bother me,like you already mentioned is the potential of dragging and a chewed out story. Besides that I don't see a reason why there shouldn't be more seasons. It's just important to know when to stop, so to say. I think I personally prefer seasons that are loosely connected like the reply series just because it's a nice change and you don't have to start from ss1 to get the drift
