Its a serious drama but its also hilarious at parts. But the humor is such that you will find yourself crying as well because the girls troubles are so relatable if you are 20 - 30ish. Grounded drama, no fantasy but it has sunshine moments too, just like real life.

So, there is some confusion about this Drama and 'Forever and Ever'. They are not actually sequels but actually the same drama split in half. The original 'past life' storyline is actually quite short compared to the drama

I felt the show became much better once Wuhuan was the main villain. The Snow Goddess and Devil God were pretty boring villains but Heavenly Goddess Wuhuan was so deliciously evil that I just loved watching her do terrible things. Hahaha

My favorite actress in this show is Jenny Zhang Jia Ni. Wuhuan's development is probably the most interesting.

Is this a BL drama?

Haha, Reply 1988 is a legendary drama tho. Kinda unfair to compare this low budget fluff to the best of Reply series.

lol, its not just similar. They downright plagiarized the whole plot of some episodes.

Fraud. The Female Lead starts doing business using the name of another man and male lead was helping her without knowing the truth.

Its NOT a BL drama, if thats what you worried about. The main character has a childhood girl friend that becomes his actual girlfriend in the manga but they didn't really focus on it here.

They cant use PUBG for copyright reasons I guess. So the writers have to cook up a new imaginary game for the drama and it obvious they are not gamers because the rules of the game are not consistent at all.
I still love the show though, the chemistry between the leads is quite good.

The Female is only immature inside the game, where she is a total noob. Which of course causes the guy to initially think she is an elementary student. In the real world however, she is quite matured... except when she is drunk.

That part is actually ok. Enemies in FPS does make noise. Its all the weird cute stuff that the female lead does, like dancing to distract Robot enemies, feeling embarrassed about looking the at undressing the ML IN GAME. That is an animated character yo.

Lol, the show is quite cute and fun but its obvious that the script-writer have never played a single online game in their life.
