Title Bad Love
what is this drama all about? i am between watching and not watching but the title, poster and synopsis intrigued me. this got the vibes of the old school Sad Love Story to me, not sure why. just curious, what and how "sad" the love is in this drama? i don't mind spoiler

When I read the synopsis, I wasn't prepared to be crying this much. The storyline just has a way of tugging at…
me too. it goes the same too when the nurse said that Jun lost his family in the accident that befell Chayoung and Kang's mother while Jun's parents are still alive. well, except his parents now are not his biological parents

the frequent use of the word death, died, dead in this drama really scares me. i looked at the writer's track record and she was never afraid to make a sad ending. did anyone realize in yesterday's (4th) episode, Kang never really came to send off MS. nor was he to his late mother. and when he told his mother in his dream to wait a little longer. everything is like a parable.

also now that the hematoma is there. doesn't that mean the choice is whether Kang becomes paralyzed or dies? i don't see Jun as a bad person either. i can't see him as someone who will intentionally "kill" Kang. and if he can't take out the hematoma now (while it's still not severe), how will later he be able to?

What is MISA?
the writer and director of this drama is also the one behind MISA. they worked together again for Chocolate after so many years. i'm not saying that the stories of both drama are related. i just feel like maybe they will do something "big" like they did for MISA. like some kind of "anniversary". therefore, i said if i wouldn't be surprised if Chocolate would also be more or less "similar" to I'm Sorry I Love You in some way. that drama was fenomenal

i went "of course, it's lee kyung hee after all" after watching the teaser highlight this evening. this is lee kyung hee x lee hyung min duet after a long time since the infamous MISA. if i were her or him or both, more than half of me will be like "let's make another 'fenomena'. another MISA". MISA was fenomenal, in my opinion. i'm loving every seconds of it no matter how soap opera-ey other people might think it is. it's THAT drama whom people recognize even by just it's title alone. nowadays, people rather avoid melodrama. they be like "why watch a drama that can make you sad?". but for me, i take drama watching a little bit more seriously. watching sad drama make me think "right, there are people suffering too just like i am. i am not alone". that's why i LOVE this writer. lee kyung hee tends to write sad and painful story, but heartwarming at the same time. her story often includes families and friends, in a realistic way, so that people (more or less) could relate. i hope that this can be another hit from the duo too. good luck Chocolate and team!

BTW: can someone tell me which character Lee Joon Hyuk is playing please ? They don't use names that often and…
did you watch the original DS? if you do, i think he'll be playing the character of peter macleish, the army man, a true believer. if you don't, then he is going play the bad guy. the guy's trying to make his way up and eventually being the vice president. he is going to be suspected for the bombing, and eventually got killed. he is doing all that for his fellow army

wikipedia : .In the United States, a designated survivor (or designated successor) is an individual in the presidential…
a designated survivor is someone who is arranged to be at a physically distant, secure, and undisclosed location when the President, the Vice President, and the other officials in the line of succession are gathered at a single location. in PMJ's case he is not arranged to be at where he is at the moment. he's just happen to be outside and not attending the speech because he is fired, hence he is survived. in the US DS, the ML is officially arranged and guarded in a location by the government, away & safe enough to prevent him from danger, while the president & other officials are gathered at a single location just in case something bad happen and to prevent a vacant position of the president. SK doesn't have a "state of the union" address like the US, and thus does not have the concept of a designated survivor https://www.cinemaescapist.com/2019/07/review-designated-survivor-60-days-korean-netflix/

I wonder if anyone else is having trouble watching Korean remake adaptations? I have a serious problem of not…
you are not alone. korean remakes sucks! i'd prefer a 100% identical story line but that's what you're going to call a plagiarism. but then again, identical or not at all!

First impressions: I kept telling myself to go in with an open mind because they would have to change large parts…
a point for a US drama is that they never waste any time, i suppose. from the very first i watched the original DS, i read comments about how in the hell does Tom suddenly got the sense of politic. like he's taking actions and firing the head of the army. but after i watch the korean DS, i thought that maybe the US did the right thing. this version of Tom is clumsy and spent too much time. he let his conscience to wake him up from the reality that he is being a burden to everyone by wanting to step down.

i don't care about all of this anti american-ism, like EVER. but there are SO many stupidity on this! first, the title "Designated Survivor" did not suit the story. PMJ is NOT DESIGNATED to survive, he is just a survivor by coincidence. it just happen that he is NOT there attending the presidential speech hence he is survived, but not like he IS designated to survive. and the daughter, what was the point of making her one of the victim? to throw the wife off the story by the reason that she is taking care of her daughter? in the original DS, the ML got his strength from his wife and his TWO kids, and THAT's what makes him looks decent. a man doing his "new" job for the sake of his family.
