I just finished it and Wow! this is just so good! I think this deserves at lest 8.8 rating. You have to forget about the logic like all the other similar dramas, and once you forget it, this is sooo good! I saw several new concepts that you don't see in dramas, it matches 2025/2026, when you see the same thing over and over again in all the other dramas, and the plot is so creative and full of unexpected turns. There's something interesting happening in almost every single episode. And this might sound a bit crazy to some people, but if you know some deep concepts about life, you feel like some of the things they talk about, make so much sense about the real life! And, it has a good ending which is not very common in good Cdramas! In the last few episodes, their connection is stronger than most other couples you see in dramas
PS: For anyone who thinks female lead is dumb to not belive him, just imagine you being in that situation where you meet someone you clearly know is bad, because that's what the script says. Think whether you will believe a very bad person you've seen in a drama or a book, even after they do some good things, you will still not believe them easily. That makes sense!
I wanted to watch this so much, since it came out, because I loved the 1st one sooo much and finally I finished…
Maybe because the team was not supposed to trust each other anyway. And Wang ye didn't appear or do much to feel anything. I still don't understand what is the reason.
I wanted to watch this so much, since it came out, because I loved the 1st one sooo much and finally I finished watching this, but I still don't feel like I watched this. Am I the only one? This drama is a bit weird, for some reason, I didn't feel connected to anything in this drama, not to any character, not even my 3 favourite characters from season 1. Something is weird and I don't understand exactly what that is. Something is missing. The actors were good. The first time I saw Hei guan er and Zheng qiu, I thought I will love those characters after a few episodes, but it didn't happen until the end. They are likable characters. But why am I feeling this way? I don't hate the drama, but there's nothing to feel too connected or love. I still like some parts. I even forgot that I watched it and was going to start watching again. lol
That was expected since TBOY was released first and then DY, so ofc the timing and the plot has to be different…
I'm not sure if you get what I'm trying to explain. Of course the timing is different, because DY has their parents and TBOY is their kid's story. And it totally make sense to use the same actors for the parent and the kid and I liked it . That's why I said Changfang's daughter reminds me so much of Changfan when he was young.
But what I'm saying is, they don't feel like the 2nd part of the same story. The past story is a bit differently explained in TBOY. So many unmatching parts. A few differences, in DY, the whole world knows Dongjun and Ye Dingzhi are the best friends like brothers, but in TBOY, Dongjun don't even know Ye dingzhe that well when he talks about him, and he himself said Wan rensun was Ye Dingzhi's best friend and he betrayed Ye dingzhi that led him to die? Anybody who watched DY knows That was not not even close to what happened and you know where Dongjun was when Ye Dingzhi died. and so many other unmatching parts like that. Even Ye Anshi, Dongjun doesn't even know him in TBOY, but he was the one who rescued him and made that agreement in DY. There are more parts like this, and barely anything that makes the story feel like the next part of DY
Is there anyone who watched TBOY again after this and see the plot has number of unmatching parts? It's so disturbing. First of all, There's no talk about Ye Dingzhi and Baili Dongjun being even friends, let alone like brothers. Baili Dongjun tried that hard to save Ye Anshi, but in TBOY, he doesn't even know him that well, or care about him. And I saw several more unmatching parts about different things. I had several moments, I'm like, what nonsense is that? The thing that is most similar is, Sikong changfang's daughter is so much like Sikong changfang when he was young. Like father like daughter, other than that, there aren't many moments that feels like the same story.
If you actually want to enjoy both, first watch this and then watch Dashing youth, even though there are spoilers, it's better than those unmatching storylines.
>>>>>>>>>>>>>For those who are interested in watching TBOY, I recommend…
But some parts don't match each other. I watched Blood of youth when it was released and watched Dashing youth later and went to watch TBOY again after dashing you, but there are some parts don't match with the two stories. I felt so disappointed with both dramas after that. I mean, what nonsense is that Ye Dingzhe's best friend was Wang rensun? and he betrayed Ye Dingzhi and that's why Ye ding zhi died? What nonsense was that? And Baili Dongjun himself said Ye dingzhi's best friend was Wang ren sun!? and several parts don't match like that. and didn't feel like the same story. After watching a few episodes of TBOY after Dashing youth, I stopped, because it couldn't watch it anymore, the stories don't match.
Namgoong Shiwon's character is so underrated! He is the most matured, the funniest and least awkward character in the whole series. Starting from the beginning to end he was the only character I loved! love to have a friend like that. If he was not there, I would stop watching it after a few episodes. But seriously, he is the most matured character if you look deep into every character. Shin Da On always trying make people happy, but fail, but Namgoon never fail to help, cheer, make people happy or solve a problem. On the outside, he looks like an idiot, but if you look carefully, he does things in a way most people can't even get themselves to do it.
Overall the drama is not anything special, and it's the most awkward drama I've watched in a long time lol. but the ending is soo beautiful 🥹
It's so funny and I love it. But I'm just wondering why that person who acted like 10 characters is not on the cast list? Is he the director or someone by any chance?
I don't know why this has such a high rating. Maybe because it's high budget. Its not bad but there's nothing special about this. I have been watching this for 5, 6 months and still on ep 30. The only thing keep me going is Bai xiao sheng. If he was not in this, I would've dropped this already. There are some interesting parts, and some interesting characters, but overall, nothing special. I really love to see when Bai xiaosheng appears.I thought The actor who acts Bai xiaosheng is so good at acting and I liked him so much, and wanted to see him more in other dramas but realised that his acting was not very good in other dramas lol. Maybe in this drama, he got a character that matches him 😄 want to see him act more characters like this.
and I liked Neo Hou (Tian yao) in "I'm nobody", and that is also a reason I started watching this, but I lost my interest after watching this lol, I should've watched "I'm nobody" after this
I don't understand why this doesn't have higher rating!? It was sooo goood except for the fact it's confusing sometimes. My head hurt from trying to figure out everything. And didn't think thy can have a good ending with all that mess. But they ended it in a nice heartwarming way even though it's doesn't feel like 100% complete. But to have a this kind of an ending is more than enough compared to most Chinese drama endings.
I love that they didn't focus on romance and focused more on friendship, comedy, investigation and adventure.
i also very much loved hikaru no go and i instantly started this upon seeing your comment! the theme is so cool…
It's not too much bromance but more like Hikaru No Go type of bromance. Zhang chi will be more lovable in the future. And also the romance is not anything big. For the whole drama there were less than liike 20 minutes of romance here. You would even forget that there is a couple here. It's true that it's not as good as Hikaru no go, but you can still enjoy the story. I finished the whole series and love it.
