but what is the purpose of such a scenario and such a story? Promoting such sick behavior in films should not…
You are butting in unnecessarily. Also, your big speech is 'unsolicited'. Pay attention to the plotline first. Also dramas won't be dramas if they all follow the usual patterns. It'll be more like a kids' edition of Shakespeare published and read during the victorian era. But that never gave the enjoyment derived from reading the original Shakespeare 's works. What all you send in your 'long speech' is redundant, because all those are things I already know.
I never used any malicious language. I only used 'assertive' language. You're the one indulging in blame game here. If you want your comment to 'express itself', go and write a new comment instead bof wasting my time by writing unsolicited, uninvited retorts to my comment.
If you don't like such dramas, don't watch it! Why spoil the fun of others who appreciate watching dramas with sadomasochistic themes?
Try teaching & preaching as a past time too. Might suit you a lot! rofl!

When anyone remarks on my comments, I feel compelled to reply, but again, 'my time is precious'. I already stated my views clearly in ghe above sections. If you disagree with my views, don't watch. That's it! Lol!
The real reason why the female lead left him is already hinted at in the drama. Her dad compelled her. But in my view, she could've just told the male lead the real reason (or at least gave him a hint) instead of leaving him in the lurch. That's what is making the male lead fill with rage & sadness --- the female lead doesn't even trust or care about him like the way he cares about her. She just tossed him aside like trash without considering him worthy of an explanation. Also, remember his background. The male lead was always looked down & ill- treated by everyone right from childhood. That must have made him prone to go to extreme ends of his personality spectrum whenever he is abandoned. You can't expect him to handle loss and sadness in relationships 'normally'. Even 'normal' people who are deeply in love could suffer tremendous emotional impact in their minds when they are abandoned by people they love and trust the most, otherwise the relationship must be 'shallow'.
Also, maybe people like you may or may not bother if your loved ones kneeled outside and fainted on a snowy day, but in the drama they used to share a real deep bond. Based on the nature of their bond itself she is not supposed to turn her back on the male lead when he fainted outside her home. She was supposed to at least secretly send him back home or at least check on him now & then & see if he was ok.

I'm not interested in getting into a debate competition with you. Go & do it with someone else! Or with someone else! Lol! My time is precious! P. S: people like you are better off watching news and documentaries. Lol!
Definition of sadomasochism: "sadomasochism, deriving pleasure, often of a sexual nature, from the infliction…
I strongly disagree with your perceptions. And please note: The Male lead was also hurt by her when she abandoned him by breaking off their marriage without any explanation or reason. Also, when he fainted on the street due to the unbearable cold, she didn't even bother to see to that he's safe. Also, the male lead was 'adopted'. Adopted people have the tendency to be clingy in relationships. A combination of all the above factors must have had an emotional impact on his mind. So, he must have used the 'protecting her' opportunity to vent his anger & sadness.
Also, I strongly disagree with your views. No matter what you think, I shall stick to my views and enjoy watching this drama. Moreover, the plot is still in progress. How can you still jump to conclusions about the male lead? I admire the fact that he didn't even sleep with other ladies even when they offered the opportunity to him on a platter. In my view, this male lead is extreme, but he tries to hold onto his integrity as much as possible.
P. S: For your kind information, the word, 'sadomasochism' has several definitions. You just happened to choose a definition that aligns with your perception and arguments. Please consult a encyclopedic dictionary or a big thesaurus! Lol!
Turns out that certain critics who come here to 'comment in style, feeling justified' --- are blind. Can't they see the phrase, 'sadomasochistic relationship' in the synopsis of this drama? Wonder why these " intellectual critics" expect something logical, emotionally stable, perfect & rosy, charming characters when the synopsis says otherwise. Either such critics themselves must be out of their mind or they love to torment themselves by watching dramas that don't match their preferences , and derive some sort of personal satisfaction by venting their anger on the content?
If drama production people start indulging in self- censoring to meet ideal, ethical standards, then there will be no room for unique stories. I too enjoy watching dramas with strong female leads and beautiful stories. At the same time, I also enjoy watching dramas with weak female leads, but beautiful/enticing, unique stories with happy endings. In all, I enjoy watching dramas with all kinds of plots that come in all kinds of interesting combinations and and that come with all combination of protagonists with all kind of combinations of personality /character traits. Otherwise, where's the fun in watching a usual drama with a usual plotline? Lol!
P. S: Just enjoy watching different stories that come with packages of different plot and character combinations instead of taking it personally.lol!
