Oh episode 39 is so cute and funny π I enjoyed every moment of it! Xingzhi is such a cutie! This is one xianxia drama where the ending is perfect, and didn't disappoint me that muchβΊ Love the ending! The director and producers need an award for providing such a good ending. βΊ
I wish the producers of Love between fairy and devil also stuck to the original story details in cang lan jue and gave a satisfactory ending just like the way it was in that novel. They should learn from production team of this drama...
Everything ended well for everyone, but what about the king of chimei? Is there someone pining for that character like the way I do? ππ π₯² That character & his side story has so much potential! Can even be made into another mini drama.
Just watched all the spoilers of all episodes without subs. Yet to watch the remaining full episodes after ep 34. Looks so interesting.
But I must declare, I find Shen Li's dad more romantic, gentler, more patient than his daughter. And though very short, I like his love story very much --- except the ending. It looked sad. Of course, don't get me wrong. I do view Shen Li as an inspiring icon. And I do love the comic elements in her love story. π But somehow I don't know why I find her dad's short love story imore intense. I just wish the king of Chimei had his happy ending. Sigh. I'm consoling myself over the fact that at least, he got to see his daughter.
Looking back, the problem all began with her aunt rebelling a little TOooo LATE... π
Looks like Shen Li's mom just emotionally maneuvered Shen Li's dad into sacrificing his years for the safety of the realm... Can't completely blame her, but watching that scene I felt as if the king of chimei never had the luxury of free will and free choices in his life... π
The way I see it, the male lead has communication issues and the female lead has trust issues.
So, was that an open or happy ending? I mean we didn't see him lie unresponsive. He even turned to look at the female lead running towards him & his fingers twiched... π This time, it's the male lead fault for poor communication. On top of that, the female lead keeps suspecting him & provoking him.
I love the flashbacks in ep 24. I guess the purpose of showing those flashbacks to the audience is to let everyone know that Shen Li though born strong, really worked her way up, and was not a slacker...
I always love listening to the soulful bgm played whenever Mofang looks at or thinks of Shen Li through the romantic light of longing & yearning. In those moments, the bgm played seems to condense and convey all of Mofang's feelings for Shen Li to the audience...

It gives me thrills everytime I hear Xingzhi say, "I want to fight. "
