Yup, of course. Even though I didn't understand it at first, when I rewatched that scene, I was able to comprehend the full deeper, underlying message of Tianyao's explanation to Yanhui. I understood that Tianyao deliberately chose not to make the smart, logical choice in order to protect Yanhui so that she can live her life peacefully.
As for Bai Xiaosheng partially telling her this before leaving, I have my own views concerning that... Perhaps he was giving her a hint regarding how her life could be saved. And of course, considering his nature, he might've wanted to grab the opportunity & show he made the smart choice to make this couple reunite once more by pulling them out of their impasse-like life & death struggle. π Hehe... Take some credit for himself ( of course, in a playful way)...
Maybe at that time, Bai Xiaosheng made the smart choice because as an outsider(the third wheel), he at that time, was able to look at the scenario more logically & less emotionally in order to break the deadlock.
Whereas Tianyao, as you said, only has Yanhui's welfare & happiness as his top priority. So, he chooses not to make the smart, logical move apt for that particular scenario. However, I'm glad Bai Xiaosheng made that smart move. It saved everyone. And because of that after they survived, Tianyao as well as Yanhui understood what they really want from each other. Tianyao realized Yanhui needs him, and he is as precious to her as her life and freedom, and maybe her desire for wealthπ

Yes. Yes! So true! It's all coming back to me now! Now that Tianyao knows how Yanhui really feels about him, hope he chooses smart solutions like Bai Xiaosheng did to save himself as well as Yanhui.
In the end, I must say, I LOVED EPISODE 27! I absolutely enjoyed watching & rewatching it! ππ I especially loved this dialogue: Yanhui: "will love disappear? " Tianyao(trying hard to suppress his smile): "It won't " Bai Xiaosheng: "It definitely will"

Oh Thanks for your detailed explanations! π Now I understand everything. I also went and rewatched that flashback scene just now. You are so right! Bai Xiaosheng was aiming at Tianyao. It's just that while watching the episode for the first time, my eyes are all over the place! I need to read the subtitles as well as watch the action going onπ π. I guess that's why I didn't notice the details. π
I must admit, Bai Xiaosheng is so smart! Maybe Tianyao can learn from him. βΊ

Oh I see... I saw him aiming the arrow at Yanhui in the drama. Maybe that's why I got confused. I guess I need to rewatch this scene. π π Ok, so did that stop the life swapping temporarily? I mean, did Tianyao not die because Yanhui did not die because the heart protection scale flew back into her body?
Ok, what happened in the scene where both yanhui & Tianyao fell down together after Bai Xiaosheng shot a shadow arrow at Yanhui's back? Can someone explain how Bai Xiaosheng saved both Yanhui & Tianyao? And can someone explain how Tianyao was weeping and crying one moment saying he has no regrets, and the next moment he is perfectly fine, especially after Yanhui wakes up? Didn't Tianyao use the life swapping spell? So how is he okay? And what did Bai Xiaosheng use or do to save both of them? And how did the heart protection scale get back into Yanhui's body? When did that happen? In which moment? Who transferred it? Expecting someone to help me out by clarifying my doubts regarding this scene in episode 27πππ
Yup. I haven't forgotten. But I admire this villian. I'm not that emotionally heartbroken when I think about the wipeout of the phantom clan. Yes it's sad, but I get real emotional when I think about the way his uncle agreed to sacrifice his life for the bad blind twin. I just wish he didn't kill his uncle who behaved like a real, devoted, loving father towards him. I would have completely empathized with the villian if he hadn't killed his uncle. But now, after watching the uncle die, I can only sympathize with him a little. Looks like from that point onwards, he went completely to the dark side. What I meant was, I admire the villian's tactics used to ward off his enemies. Of course, I'm not the villian's fan even though I understand his intents a bit. π I think it'd have been better for him to kill off that insensitive, rude old man rather than his uncle. I don't know why he didn't do that. That was one real bad move. Anyway, what I want to say is that now a 'real' villian like Suying has entered the story which can make the plot more interesting.

The male lead is so handsome.
