No one hates him anymore. But, I could understand why you felt like this. In first 3/4 episodes, the writers didn't really show his backstory enough to help viewers understand with his character.
I agree with the part, CJH and Cousin had kiss scenes first with the Queen. It is quite unusual and unfair for Male Lead character, who is supposed to be in romance with Female lead. So, you could probably think the writers are helping the cousin character to shine.
