Definitely recommend this, the story, some of the side characters around the FL, the FL and ML personality, their romance, and the little boy was great, it's just that I honestly think every single person in this was a newbie, no face was recognizable and I've seen over 500 of these mini-series, the acting wasn't the greatest and at times it took away a little from the story for me, but it definitely isn't enough to not watch this. The FL was cute, but brutal when needed, I loved that about her. The actress came off as someone who can play villain or baddie FL and sweet/cute FL which is promising for her career, but you could have seen at times some scenes were super awkward and it showed how much she was a new actor, same with the ML and a lot of others. Except the little boy, he was great and soooo adorable in his role :)
But I had to give it a half star above my actual rating because the blind date scene oh my gosh!!>. The ML and FL interacted a few times and was definitely attracted to each other, I was so surprised the FL agreed to the blind date and when they were both sharing about themselves, and then came to the conclusion we can definitely get married, and then went for it, it definitely set this one far apart from so many of these flash marriages, I would definitely like to see more scenes like their blind date.

I thought this would be heavy because of the theme of the story, but it wasn't, I was quite surprised the way things unfolded, and end up really enjoying the show.
This one was had a nice balance and there was more than enough romance in it, I loved the leads chemistry as well. This was focused a lot on the leads mending their relationship, it's 2 hours and 30 minutes, but I kind of wish it had just a little more, I was enjoying it that much haha

I watched it yesterday and loved her in it, so i went looking for her other work, she's very talented :) - I watched one that isn't posted on MDL she did well in that one too.
I was nervous because it was over 4 hours, but it was 4 hours well spent!!.. They did a great job with the flow of the story, and the acting was great, sometimes they didn't have the words, but as you mentioned, the yearning, and the look in their eyes :)
I liked this version, I didn't know it was the first one, and the ML have brother's in this, the one I watched he was an only child, that's the one with He Congrui.
I tried watching the Meng Na and Chen Si version, but i just couldn't haha.. Meng Na is a great actress, but i was a little cringe haha.. They didn't have to make the FL exactly like the one from the He Congrui version, at though I liked that FL, but not everyone can pull off that cute, adorable, type of character. This FL was cute, but she wasn't like the FL from the He Congrui version, she was more dialed down and it didn't take away from the story, but then again this is a the original so it's weird comparing them haha, I'm sure each version has it's own charm.
Ps. The ML here did a great job, he didn't talk but his facial expression, his motioning, and body language said all that he needed, I won't have mind if he stayed mute haha .. his eyes also said a lot, especially when he's angry haha
