After finishing Our Beloved Summer, I didn't think I was going to open my heart to any other dramas so soon. Twenty Five, Twenty One and A Business Proposal totally changed that.
I'm seeing many comments about AHS copying Park Seojoon's hairdo in WWWSK. When the hell did that hairstyle get trademarked? Lol, oh no Kim Sejeong has bangs. How dare she copy every single other female actress!
Episode 1 was meh for me, but episode 2 made me laugh so hard and now I'm hook. Chemistry is great between all the castmates. And I really enjoy the friendship between the FL and 2FL. It's probably my favorite thing about the drama so far.
Just caught up on the latest episode and I want more. I'm a sucker for unrequited romances haha. This version definitely highlights the slow burn of an unrequited love more and how it turns into an actual relationship. Does anyone know if they're going to continue to release the episodes in bulks?
This is still my favorite show of 2020-2021, but I definitely felt a dip in quality when the writer was changed. It's not as funny and the storyline isn't as engaging as before. There are some plotholes and many unnecessary scenes that were made to drag out the storyine. Cast chemistry is still on point but why does it feel like they're forcing a Somun and Hana love line?? I ship it but it seems kind of random at the same time
I know the drama hasn't finished airing but this is hands down my favorite drama of the year. The storyline and acting is amazing. Anyone know if the webtoon is translated in english?
I absolutely LOVED the episodes from this week (ep 11&12). The writer poked jabs at so many things that the viewers were upset about haha.
– Cleared up a lot of the misunderstandings between Lee Soo and Wooyeon – Gave the characters some more personal growth and have them accept their faults – Gave us multiple kiss scenes – Gave us the rom-com feel that everyone was dying for
BUT YA’LL STILL HAVE STUFF TO COMPLAIN ABOUT.
I personally love the fact that the writer stirred the pot with Yura’s entrance. Previews can be misleading and I don’t want to judge her character too much yet. I’m excited to see if she ends up with JoonSoo LOL. So far every couple on the show has been friends first. Yura just needs to become friends with JoonSoo too and the title of the drama will soon describe them also haha.
I love that Lee Soo’s parents are also become something “more than friends.” I see what you’re doing there, writer haha.
This is probably an unpopular opinion but I really liked the recent episodes (9&10). It’s exactly what I expected for the beginning of the second half of the drama series. I don’t expect any love development to quickly happen between Wooyeon and LeeSoo. The first half of the series was about Wooyeon moving on from her feelings and LeeSoo realizing his.
A lot of viewers are ready to throw hands and are screaming at Wooyeon to just go to LeeSoo already but I’m glad to see her sorting her thoughts and heart first. LeeSoo was the reason for her anguish for ten years so I don’t blame her for being hesitant. He hasn’t given her any solid reason to completely trust him so I hope he shows this in the upcoming episodes. His last words to her at the end of episode 10 is a good step forward.
LeeSoo’s character went through some character growth this week but there was still some hints of a selfish prick behind them. It’s okay, I understand that he can’t be fully an angel.
JoonSu, I was rooting for you homeboy but writer made him seem pretty clingy during this week’s episodes. I just hope that when his character has to let go of Wooyeon, he’ll do it calmly and respect her wishes.
On an ending note, I really wished they showed Ong Seungwu’s forehead more. Hahaha, he’s already good looking already but he’s even more handsome when his forehead is displayed. Am I the only one who thinks this? Loool.
Now, time to wait another week for this angsty drama’s next episode.
The comments make me not want to watch the show more and more....
No, honey!! Watch it for yourself before making a decision. I went into watching this drama with a very open mind. People expect main leads to always be perfect, but the reality is that human beings and their feelings are complex and this drama shows that. I love how imperfect and broken each individual is. There's a so much potential for growth if the writer executes it well. And the acting doesn't feel cringeworthy. Then there's the plus of a very pretty cast haha.
I’m pretty confused by a lot of ya’ll in this comment thread.
Who ACTUALLY and realistically believes that the main girl will end up with CEO? Please folks, this is a Kdrama.
LeeSoo might not be the perfect ML but he’s one of the most realistic characters. I have been in his shoes. Rejected my husband four times before finally realizing my feelings haha. From someone who has personally gone through it, you can be friends with someone for a longtime, see them as only that, but unexpectedly fall in love with them when you didn’t think you would. (I’m just lucky that my hubby was patient enough to wait for me! LOL)
Wooyeon’s personality is relatable too. To heal a broken heart, one of the things you have to do is find a new love. I’m happy she didn’t didn’t mope, cry, and wait around for LeeSoo to come back. The girl got to work by keeping herself busy with dates and NOT being a doormat for anyone, all while pursuing her passion. I’m all support for a strong woman who can have fun with dating around and not be tied down.
Some of ya’ll call her weak because she wasn't able to get over LeeSoo for ten years. I see that as her underlying true love for him. As queen Selena Gomez once sang, “The heart wants what it wants.” And this clearly represents her feelings right now. She wants to get over him, she wants to move on, so why not with the nice and seemingly perfect CEO? Because her heart doesn’t love him. Simply as that. You can’t easily sway who you have feelings for.
She might have some feelings for SML, because he's able to make her smile and that's why she was able to be all "coupley" with him but that's what happened with all of her previous relationships. She's dating and she's having fun with it, and people, that's not a crime!
As for as our male lead, LeeSoo has developed some great character growth in the recent episodes.
He went from “bluntly telling Wooyeon to just deal with him being around despite her wanting to get over him” to “I’ll do it now, the one-sided love. The way you have been doing, I’ll do it even longer. I'll like you even more. I'll wait for you.” Home boy even had my heart pounding with those words haha.
I was so annoyed with LeeSoo in the beginning but now I just want him to be happy haha. Besides the messy hiccups, it’s obvious him and Wooyeon are perfect for each other. Before all of their complicated feelings, they were great as friends. And being best friends is a strong foundation of a strong relationship.
And as for our SML, I was rooting for him to not be sad in the beginning, but now I’m just annoyed with him (funny how those feelings switched with Lee Soo HAH). Realistically, what did he expect? He entered a relationship knowing fully well that Wooyeon wasn’t as into him as he was into her. And he’s competing against a relationship filled with ten years of memories. I don’t care if he’s sweet and nice to her, the way he’s treating her as if she was fully his is laughable. She was never his to begin with. He has to earn her love first, and by acting like a jealous prick, he’s not going to.
For those hesitating to watch this drama, I still recommend it. It’s so angsty and gives you so much frustration, but I’m personally all in for the drama haha.
On an ending note, this drama introduced me to Ong Seungwu and I still can't believe he's an idol turn actor. What he has to show in the future is really promising. I love his first single “We Belong” and I think it perfectly describes LeeSoo’s relationship with Wooyeon.
The only thing that truly sucks about this drama is that we have to wait each week for the new episode.
Who else is enjoying the drama unfolding in the comment section? Let it be a friendly reminder, that this is just a slice of life Kdrama.
I never seen the ML get so much hate from viewers. Props to the writer and the amazing acting skills of Ong Seong Woo. This is my first time watching him act and I'm definitely impressed. I hope he gets more projects in the future.
The drama hasn't aired halfway yet, but the storyline is picking up at a nice pace. I agree that the ML is being pretty selfish with this whole "I don't want to stop being friends just because you like me and you're trying to get over me" act but I'm excited to see how the writer unravel his complex character. I'm going to need some justice to his character haha. Other than that, I really love the banter between him and the FL. And their high school friendship was so pure. Their chemistry is undeniable.
Oh poor JoonSoo, you're such a sweetheart. I don't want to see him get hurt. Can we please get some back story on his relationship with his sister-in-law?!
STOP CALLING WOOYEON A DOORMAT. Besides in her drunk stupor, she has never begged LeeSoo to be in a relationship with her. She's never stopped living her life or revolved her life around the man she loves. I love her character because she's relatable.
Gyaaah, I hate waiting a week for the new episode.
