It's actually becoming more interesting to me.
There, that's your problem. I don't think this series is meant to focus on romance. Basically, they are fighting for the throne, so you could think of it like Game of Throne.

I think you forget the fact that he knew he won't has much time left to live. So I think he actually don't mind and probably glad that Yuran has chosen Ji Ye instead.
