The premise sounds like it would be a real sh*t show and full of drama but it has genuine heart. We slowly learn who are the couples and why they separated

yes, it took me a week to finish the first 2 episodes as I stopped every 30 mins or so (aka the time jumps)but once it got into the hospice I could not stop, especially the tears. This has become one of my favorite dramas of all times for that very reason, as I don't typically cry in sad scenes of other shows or dramas, but this did not fail to do so. As you said this is not a lighthearted or bubbly drama, but it does have heart and does depend on your mood so if you want to cry this is it.
