It's popularity is not simply because of its BL/bromance contents .this is a masterpiece with an intriguing plot, interesting characters and beautiful choreograph! there are a lot of female fans who are not really into BL like me but are deeply affected by the equal and mature relationship of the two leads . C-dramas like handsome siblings are filled with stereotyped pretty, innocent but stupid female leads who keep getting herself into troubles and need the help from the male leads again and again, or cliche cold, loofy and bossy male leads who torture the FL because of some stupid and unnecessary misunderstanding, or beautiful female supporting roles who has no better things to do other than frame the FLs and be clingy to the MLs. Gosh!
The love between the two MLs in word of honor is beyond gender. This kind of relationship is the ultimate dream for many people, no matter they are into BL, GL or BG. That's why WOH is so popular in China. If it is only about BL, there won't be nearly 300k voters on Douban.

after the untamed it's the second cdrama that I'm truly loving it . thanks for your reasonable comment :))

why I cannot watch C-dramas? It's the third C-drama that I try and fail to progress
they just don't work for me . feel unreal despite of their beautiful settings
