Yeah i wish he'd do the kind of scripts that Kim Soo Hyun are doing these days, IOTNBO and the upcoming That Night. Or something like SJK, LSG and LJG are doing with Vincenzo, Mouse and Lawless Lawyer. Those are the kind of scripts i think most suited to his talents, and at the same time not as tiring as a full-fledged action drama like The K2 or Vagabond.

JCW in sageuk genre really hits so fckin different! yet to watch Empress Ki but starting a 50 episode drama always feels heavy on the chest. eventually i'll get to it no matter what.
yeah his wish to try more range is perfectly understandable and respectable. but i think it could be the problem of wanting to try out certain roles without weighing on the quality of the overall script properly.
i really wish he'll start to choose more carefully. he doesn't have to compromise wanting to try a unique character, or a fresh story in the hands of a lousy script.
