Woah such huge accomplishments! I'm a fan since catching him on 'The Long Ballad' and then 'The Island of Anle' also saw 'A Journey to Love'. His performance with favorite FLs is outstanding. Look forward to watching more current work of his.

Agreed w/comment below that there were way too many hospital scenes and main actress too thin, yet beautiful.

This is my favorite scene and ending of episode #18. Thank you directors/screenwriter and crew for catching this moment of M/FLs. It helped me understand how a man protects the woman he loves w/out being part of her life as he releases her.

Thank you for sharing your perspective from your religion's point of view. It's nice if we have boundaries set…
Awwww -- Thanks again Cho Na, I know you're really busy, I was going over your reviews to see if you did one on 'Novoland: Pearl Eclipse' or know if any of the other reviewers did -- I'm still searching... best.

Hi Cho Na -- So to answer your question from my Christian perspective -- Is (any type of) step-sibling romance forbidden? It is forbidden. God's Word forbids this type of relationship for so many reasons. My thoughts on family dynamics that involve this type of relationship is heartache, God has boundaries put into place to avoid this deep type of heartache -- it affects the couple, always (they can lie to themselves because of their love/lust), and it does affect everyone around them... it will definitely affect any children born to them -- society does frown on this type of love and families looking for prospective spouses for their children would forbid their children from getting involved with them. You can write a drama on that alone.

I did come across a C-drama where the step sister was in love with someone outside the family, but the step bother was in love with her. Thank goodness the step sister ended up with the ML and not the step brother, whom she always considered her brother. I wouldn't be able to finish the drama if I saw the step-siblings fall in love. Anyway, I digress. I wondered about this in Asia, as I tend read the summary of all movies before I commit my time and I noticed a few that hinted at step-sibling relationships, which I found conflicting. Conflicting because I didn't expect it in AD... but after noticing a few of these, I realized this must be a common factor in the culture/s -- and after thinking about it -- it's common in all cultures, but it's just well hidden. Also after reading the comments below it makes sense to me that where there is no God, how would you know when you cross the line.

Thanks for your review. I tend to lose interest in these type of dramas, 1) because of the spiritual implications; and 2) because there are so many other outstanding folks out there to fall in love with -- why become obsess with a person that you're related to as a sibling.

Thank you for the review! Because of the OSTs, I usually end up re-watching many of the dramas again and again. I've ear hustled 'The Long Ballad' (and a few other dramas) in the background as I do things around my home. One of my favorite scenes is Sun fighting with She'er as he flies in the air and you see the muscles tense in his face. I'll be reading your reviews to see what I've missed and what to watch. Thank you so much.

Thank you so much! That did it for us. Currently rewatching again -- when I first watched it I told my sister it was one of the sweetest romances of DD that I've enjoyed watching develop and I kept wondering why the Director's direction kept it soooo pure on screen (fading out on kiss, etc); and then I went to see her ML's (loved him) background and saw he was 9-years younger than her and thought it must be an agencies requirement (just guessing). Though most of DD's romances are sweet, I found this to be the sweetest and that's why I watch a lot of CDramas vs. American -- continue to keep it clean and pure. Thank you for the writeup also! I watched the movie before I started to read all the reviews.

Can you point me to an explanation of the ending -- my sister and I both watched it from beginning to end and loved the story-line except the end -- because I had watched many c-dramas and have been disappointed in the ending many times -- for The Long Ballard -- I was mentally prepared -- but my sister still hated it -- I say they returned together to the grasslands, my sister says that they separated because he returned to Eagle Division because of what he was wearing. All in all, I love this movie and have watched it several times. I love love love the music, huge selling point for me. I love the entire cast. The Director & crew did a wonderful job.
