Yes watch it!! Especially if you didn't like the ending of their love story in TMOPB! It corresponds really well to the novel and actually solidifies their love!

As far as I remember, Donghua knows that Chen Ye was his shadow but what he didn't know was that Aranya was Feng Jiu's shadow. Since Feng Jiu took the place of Aranya when they entered Aranya's dream there wasn't any way of knowing how the original Aranya looked like.
