I'm so disappointed in this ending that I became speechless for a few minutes. No matter how much I foresaw a bad ending, it was worse in reality as it wasn't even well executed. The writer, director and everyone seemed like they really just wanted it all to finish one way or another.
I read some great comments down here comparing his past and the beginning of the drama to the ending, so all i want to add is that there is no sense behind Zi O's new found belief, and more so, no reason why he isn't breaking hell looking for his daughter. How can he just forget about her now and continue with the experiments living in void for years? I thought he was looking to protect someone, just like what Lee Son said, there is no point in life if he lost the one he was protecting--- ah yes it's all because writer hopes to make a season two and wants them to meet years later when she has already grown up and sorta lived a normal life with her adopted family ... that is when Zi O will remember to look for his daughter.
And Gu Reum died for what reason? Zi O can take 10 more bullets than she can, why would she be sacrificed?? it's just a silly ending trope that they love to add in dramas to make them so called angst. All it does is leave the viewer in disbelief and disconnection with the drama.
I really hope Kim Rae Won wouldn't agree to the second season, he should know it won't do him any good. He and Lee Da Hee did more than what they had to do.
I totally agree with you. It's frustrating without any justifications now. Why is she doing this to the person…
You’re so right :( he really thought he finally has someone to lean on someone to trust, and she goes and pushes him away, even if she really thought he killed her parents, she herself chose to soften up to him because she saw how caring he is in the farm and all. All she sees right now is a monster, but whats the point if she had already had a daughter with him? Her daughter might be even more powerful, meaning it would be so damn difficult for her by herself, having Zi O as a father that has been through everything will make their life easier. They can find so many ways to live if they’re together and they can build a safe and good life for their daughter.
Yes he messed up badly by taking the child to get electrocution, but even before that happened, in her room when he comes to her desperately trying find the gu reum he knows, all she does is block him from the child, backs away and screams at him to get out. I dont want to put all the blame on her, she had been through a lot also, but she is the rational one, she is the one that knows how to communicate and deal with situations as a cop and a normal adult. Zi O had been alone all his life running away from people and barely surviving, so I would understand it a little bit if he were to fall for the words of a leader and a scientist.

Very true, they have been taking the drama south for the last 3 episodes, fixing everything in the last one will not be that great. I really loved the drama in the beginning, but now i just want to see it through :(
If there is one person who is okay with how the plot has advanced so far, I would really appreciate an explanation…
I totally agree with you. It's frustrating without any justifications now. Why is she doing this to the person she spent almost a whole year (3 months + pregnancy period) living alone with?? She shouldve known what Zi O is like before conceiving and birthing a baby!!! There is no rational explanation behind her running away from him. She is the one making him lose himself because he cant understand anymore. On the other hand, she went and forgave the captain in 2 minutes cause he got stabbed?! He tried to kill her more than once! The writing is so inconsistent at this point, the writer is just out to frustrate us all is what I believe...
I felt frustrated from beginning to end. Both Gu Reum and Zi O are listening to all the bullshit that woman is telling them. Like, okay, they are desperate and under pressure and their emotions are reckless but still... the writer didnt have to take them (and us) that far off, only to eventually bring us back on track by the very end.
yes. definitely agree with all your points. i hate to say it but this kdrama is one of the kdramas that i feel…
Thank you for agreeing with me! I tried liking it for what it is but there were too many unlikable aspects about it. I don't understand how the ratings are so high (on MDL for example) compared to other dramas
I haven't read the novel - and not sure how true the show holds to the novel anyway... Tang Hao won the fight…
Yes you are right, there should be more to the fight (maybe they were short on time or something). Hopefully in the next season they clarify it a little bit because there is so much that Tang San has to say to his father, including his sudden show up (which was expected) and his fight with BiBi. Also yes as you said she might not hurt the rest of the team... but somehow they are making her seem evil for no reason in this script, just thirsty to accumulate power. So its worrisome since she wont just sit and take it if Wu and Tangs leave after her demand and after they started fighting. Ugh it feels like we really needed one more episode for this whole scene to finish :(
In the anime. Tang Hao displays his power to bibi dong destroying her castle. But in live action... A sweet talk…
Wahh seriously! that would be a very acceptable thing like he destroyed the whole place down.... i wish they had done that in the drama or something a little bit more convincing for an ending
they ran to the forest where tang san's mother created an interspace for him
So he can go into it whenever he wants? and he can take his father along even? Why would he just leave his team and master behind with the chief, she can kill them all... this isn't a good way to end the season...
So how did Tang Hao beat Bi Bi Dong? How did he run away with those two only? Why in a very random forest/green place? They might explain in the second season but I am wondering if anyone has read the novel and knows how it happened like this
She does trust him, but her job was her entire life until now, so she can't stop thinking like a cop. She also…
Yes I get it, shes been looking for him all her life because he is the reason her parents disappeared, so she cant delete this part off her mind, but I would just think with all the intense events happening one can understand and feel things more strongly. As in, even though she thought he may have killed her parents, right now, he isnt just not harming her, he is the only one standing by her and protecting her (it kind of balances out) so with this fact she should put some trust in him. But maybe just my wishful thinking ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
Even though I had the feeling he would end up being fishy, I still feel very much betrayed.
Righttt he was odd from the beginning, acting all warm and kind so quickly... it never sat right with me, but i was honestly shocked out of belief in the moment he called
I am so glad he sticks to her and protects her with all her rejection and mistrust :') I do understand her, but I hope she now starts changing her idea of him and starts being more realistic and more observant of his current self
Did anyone else get absolutely disgusted by the ridiculous amount of torture in episode six? Like watching this…
I agree that it was a crazy amount especially that we got to witness it, but I think the outcome of this all is that he is physically much stronger. The scientist wanted to get rid of the weaker cells so when they take his cells for cloning, they only take strong ones... but this plan is gonna turn against them because he is even more invincible now and even that lee son is no match for him from now on Maybe also it was part of the scientist's plan anyways since he somehow or another cares for him so he intended on making him stronger or just "upgrading" him
I supported him when he blew up in the church, that sister's face and words were seriously so devilish, even a normal human would blow up. With that said, the actress is amazing in the way she acted, as well as the videography and direction that showed us such a portrayal. I loved it. I was also really satisfied at him blowing up the car and getting out, bless him and this plot. I dont want to see him getting abused.
I am disappointed in the ending. After the touching twist, it felt like it's really going to go with an entirely different direction.... ah no ehehe they made it supposedly cute and just finished it as if nothing had happened. There was no need for a sad part anyways, they couldve just ended more swiftly and more consistently.
I don't think so because the doctor died.... Now I don't remember which part you're referring to and I saw the…
Yes thats why im wondering about it, he should be dead so why did he show up again years later? ?♀️... maybe he’s just a look-alike, otherwise it wouldnt make sense... Dont worry, if I hadnt realized it at the time i wouldnt have remembered it the next day either ?
