Let's wait for it to air and see how it pans out. If they stick to the novel, I might not be too disappointed as the revenge and face slapping alone will be satisfying. Also, I three years, they only meet a handful of times. He only becomes important when the main revenge line starts and also after he falls for her and they get married. So I guess He Yu's schedule is to match his storyline... Who knows 🙂↔️

I Absolutely agree, He Yu will kill it. And yes Bai Lu might suit the role. No offence but, the story starts when the female lead is 13 years old I believe and goes on to marry when she is 16 - 17 years old. So I understand the need to have a young cast. Also the male lead would be 20 when he is first introduced (if I remember correctly). I just don't see the range of skills in her though she is good.
He yu might pull off being the cunning yet gentle looking Xiao Jing Xi but to be honest, I don't see Bao Shang Er being Ren Yao Qi. Her character is like a cold beauty that has hidden her claws well and appears amicable and docile. Bao Shang Er gives me cute girl/innocent vibe, not very suitable. Argh... this has been my favourite novel recently and I fear the casting has already set my expectations pretty low. Not looking forward for the plot to be ruined either... Let's see what happens when it premieres🤞

Not really! As far as I recall, it was the mother-in-law who asked the third son-in-law to do it and help him later so that he can do something with his life and not waste it away. You can say that it was a collective test.

According to some Chinese entertainment news channel (don't remember the name), one of the actor's (namely a guest appearance) associated with some scandal linked to a chinese policy and the producers want the rumours to die down and hence this is very likely to air in 2024. It was highlighted an hour before the actual release, so the update was "due to technical reasons" this is delayed. *sigh* China and its strict policies... We have lost too many shows because of them!

yes it is based off of a chinese novel called "A lady's tranquillity" which isn't fully translated by the way. In my humble opinion it is a pretty interesting and different-from-its-usual-tropes novel despite being a rebirth/reincarnation novel.
