All my excitement for s2 turned into disapointment when I saw the scriptwriter speak out on weibo. How bad the script have to veer off course for them to have to fire the og creator of the plot and characters.

Hmm, personally I skipped through the novel after the drama came out because it was too slowburn. Priest is known for her intricate world building and the novel is mostly plot focused. However, there are definitely more wenzhou scenes that make skimming through it worth it imo. Hope that helps!
