Like someone said hit or miss
This story was a hit or miss for me and definitely a miss to me. I find that the premise of the whole story the plot itself could have been interesting. If the plot had been done in a different way, maybe the overall drama would have been more engaging and gripping to me.
The acting for me was not good or just mid and I found certain misunderstandings between the mc's just annoying and felt like they were too repetitive or reoccurring.
For the fl I found Mu Qing Ge waaayyy more interesting and attractive as a character, however you only see her play that role for a short while. I found Xue Ran Ran too boring and plain for me. Just a typical nice character. There was a scene where she was on a mountain with another character and that mountain was in danger of crumbling down and killing them, however she saw a small bird that was trapped and wanted to help it. The other character said something like "we could die but you want to help this bird?!". I totally agreed with that and completely rolled my eyes at that scene. The too nice character can just be too annoying, unrealistic and boring. And as drama watchers know of course that bird that she just had to help because she's so nice turned out to be a vermilion bird, a powerful bird that helped them escape the danger. To be fair Mu Qing Ge could have helped too, it was definitely within her character. However where Mu Qing Ge felt like she was nice, kind, strong, domineering and etc Xue Ran Ran was just nice and of course had power too but was just nice. That's how I would describe her character. The ml's character was alright to me.
The actors for the ml and fl were both pretty and handsome however I personally didn't find them attractive. However the character or personality of someone makes them more attractive or less so. For me the characters played by the mc's did not make them attractive at all.
As for the romance between the mc's, it was pretty bland and boring. Nothing steamy, nothing fun, no sparks. A pretty boring romance tbh.
On another note I would have liked to see more satisfying revenge for the ml, he really suffered as a child and later too.
So overall the story was not executed the best, was just plain and boring, the mc's weren't attractive and their romance was boring with no sparks. This was an easily forgettable story. It was also disappointing for me because of the very high rating. Normally I agree with the ratings, just not for this one.
