Well, the translataion literally said "burning the roots of your love" plus if he erases her memories, it will cease to exist. I really hope she will get her memories sooner than later.

As for the 2nd concern of mine, I think that if they really need to take something away, it should be his powers and not his memories because that defeats the purpose of he going there. From the trailer I saw that he has some power but I doubt it is his original one, but it's his memories what worry me the most, it doesn't make sense to me and I just can't let plot holes pass, no matter how much I love a drama, coherence is very important to me. Hopefully that won't be the case here and they will find a way to avoid it.

EP 18 DISCUSSION AHEAD:

Ok so I'll say this here hoping I find someone to talk about it with because my friends aren't watching this with me :(

So, there are a few situations that could become plot holes here:

1. When he uses the burning heart flame to "kill" her love and make her forget him, he's like "I'll sever our ties by burning our hair strands ", BUUUT, that makes no sense because there are many tokens of their love, like:
- The agarwood... candle? he's using to burn the flame, lol
- The hairpin he is hoping will stay with her for a lifetime
- The fact that half of her heart is now his???? lmao
There's no way for him to cut all ties and actually make her forget and stop feeling, unless he kills them both. I want to excuse the drama by saying that she was very weak and that's why it worked, but it shouldn't work foverer.

2. He going to the mortal realm without his powers and memories. If he's going there to investigate this mysterious force and what has happened to the demon lord, being the Dijun he is, he shouldn't go there powerless and without memories???? How are you going to investigste if you don't remember who you are and what you know?? How are you going to defend yourself?? Also, when he was receiving the love punishment he sealed his memories of Yandan whitin him so that no one could touch them, not even the Emperor, so it wouldn't make sense if he can erase/take them way now. Ofc, if he remembers everything and gets to keep his powers then Tang Zhou's personality wouldn't exist but it makes no sense to me.

I really hope my #1 concern actually ends up being like this and that he actually remembers and has some powers left, if not I'll probably have to take 1 or 2 stars from the final rating when I finish this drama, and I don't want to do that because I'm loving it.

If I was them, I'd air it right away because the drama has been well received, what if another drama airs in that month and steals the momentum. I guess we'll find out what their plan is tomorrow, hopefully it will be good news

There's also a rumor that it will air right away because Viki and WeTV listed episode 28 to air tomorrow but others are saying it was added last minute to part 1. Honestly I don't understand why they need more production time, that's one of the reasons why cdramas take so long to air, why would they only work on half of it. Splitting dramas in two is the way to avoid the new censorship rules, it was one drama and not two to begin with, but what do I know... I just hope they don't make me wait a month

I just saw a melon saying that it will air a week after part 1, I really hope it's true because I need more. I binged all the 24 episodes avaiable when I started watching this in 1 day and even though I can wait, I don't want to, I'm invested in this story, I don't want to lose continuity.

This drama was popular in its category in China but not internationally because the subtitles were delayed almost 2 months

I hope he and Lanxi get closer, I'd love for them to have each other

I just guessed he was because of what happened in episode 5, but I'm hoping I'm wrong because I don't want to watch that, he isn't a good person and I want to believe that kdramas are progressing towards healthy relationships

Lol, I certainly don't think he's attractive (I'm not saying he's not handsome but he's not my type) but I meant it more like ugly attitude that the character has, I wasn't talking about his looks

I don´t like Jenna that much after what she did to Seo Ji Han. I don't really care about him but she should've at least apologized for using him like that and not telling him.

UUUGHHHHHHHH, I thought Seo Ji Han was the lead but he's the second lead???? It's 2021, I can't believe they're still making dramas with jerk CEOs as the lead, I feel like I'm watching a drama from 2012. I had hopes for this drama, why did they do that :(
