Forgot to mention, it was my first 40 ep drama after Put your head on my shoulder and A love so beautiful (both of which are 24 episode long) and I finished it within a day, so do consider that as well.

It's actually not as bad. The story is written okay. You can watch it if you don't think too much about it. There are cute scenes. And Yang Yang is stare worthy. It's been a while so I don't remember the plot much but I do go back to just giggle over some of his expressions like a dimwit.

I suppose. I don't really remember them as clearly, so perhaps the version I do remember is already the summarized one stored in my head.

If I'm remembering it right, those scenes ended up being a part of character-build up. The in-class discussion kind (about succession criteria) of high-lighted how the ML understood the FL much better than one would expect and also gave an important and best insight into Ming Lan's character. It also ended up being a key to resolve the issue that FL's father faced in front of the king. To be honest, I enjoyed those scenes much more than I'd expected, being as romance obsessed I am.

Since Love020 was among the first dramas I watched, I generally refrain from making any comments. But I do see how it's hard to digest sometimes. The FL's character was made to seem smart/strong in the beginning but by the time it ended.... it just got weird.

That part did tick me off as well but thankfully, nothing as noticeably offensive happened later on.

It's hopeful yes, but i kinda watch these dramas for unrealistic happines.

I want to watch it. And kniw it's worth it. But... the romance has an open ending and I'm a romantic. Sigh. Fingers crossed for a closed second series. I like the actor playing ML. :-(

They only take dramas (Asian, non bollywood) into consideration here. :-D

don't ya think it's a little judgmental... I didn't know about it till reading your commen and till now, I've watched most of his shows for him but... he's an actor and the acting part of his life should be limited to screen. It doesn't affect our real life and it shouldn't affect his off-screen life either.

I binge-watched it so don't remember the episode but when the relationship was exposed and the couple of 'refined' ladies were back-bisching (sorry.got a thing against swear words) and it evolved into the bathroom brawl?
