CDW showed psychopathic behaviour when he was a child and murdered a student(who was bullied by his brother and friend).Following this his psychiatrist made him believe that it was his brother who killed the student and made CDW a person who seeks justice which led him to become a righteous prosecutor,but he was still not satisfied with how some criminals are still on lose.So he decides to take this matter into his hand and starts punishing/killing criminals who have evaded law with Goo Tae Soo.when he tries to remember what happened 20 years ago exactly he finds out that his memory is distorted and asks his psychiatrist,who tells him that he was brainwashed....so in conclusion NO CDW did not know he murdered a student.And the criminals he murdered ,he didn't see that as murder rather just as cleaning human garbage out of society..........And this is just my opinion if i am wrong please do correct me.

That's what made me first doubt Park Chnag ho. It seemed like he had intentionally given a tip about him being Big Mouse.This might be his plan to catch Gong Ji hoon.As even the news about him came at the right time when he was being hanged and they didn't show the time period between his accident in episode 1 and his arrest short after.
