ugh exactly! I started thinking I’m the odd one here because I feel zero empathy for the killer.

People are quoting and crying over a dialogue by the killer. One tragic sentence isn’t enough to create emotional depth. Throughout the series they never explored anything about the killer’s nature. Who was she underneath the surface? What was going on in her mind? Upon finding out about the tragic incident, we never saw her grieving or being vulnerable or angry.

Her motivations were unconvincing as the ending was rushed. Like you said, they only showed us that she is an eccentric person with hoarding tendencies.
What a boring killer for such an interesting show. Shame.

Honestly it’s dragging now. I watched the last few eps almost completely skipping but I didn’t miss a single plot point. The main lead’s romance is boring. The king and queen’s romance, although very brief, is hundred times better.

I had my suspicions from the beginning about the psychiatrist being the killer since she was played by an actor who has played lead roles. But I refused to believe that it would be that obvious and boring given how good the show was progressing.

The ending was underwhelming. It didn’t do justice to the show. It started out clever and interesting. Ig I gave it too much credit before the show ended. Sbd mentioned that people who watch mystery wait for the show to end to rate it. Now I know why. it was much more interesting to read all your theories on the killer. The killer’s motivation wasn’t convincing and it wasn’t explored enough. The sob story did nothing for me. The most boring serial killer ever for such an interesting show. Disappointed.

Of course, there's nothing wrong with having expectations and liking the show or not. I just think the comments are a bit dramatic and harsh. Just my opinion though. I'm glad the ending for Dohwa is different from manhwa. I want him to get his happy ending but I like Yeo Jooda's decision too

This! Properly worded. I agree with everything you just said. The drama went downhill for them because it didn't reach their expectations. (Although I have to admit they did stretch the love triangle part). So far I'm still loving the show. Scrolling through the comments, I think people are criticizing it too harshly. It's a tad bit dramatic to say this is the worst show or characters are unlikeable because the show isn't going the way they want it to.
Kyung was a jerk but he redeemed himself and I'm glad, I always wanted him to make peace. I'm praying for a happy ending for DanHaru now. I don't want this show to end yet. I'll miss DanHaru and Do Hwa moments the most!
