I don't think that the actors are a problem. Even the best actor wouldn't look good in a series that is directed…
Yes I read the book, twice actually, so I really understand what you mean. Of course I love DeanParm from the book but in the series... I don’t feel like they are DeanParm :/ I know Dean is like that but not to that extent, it’s overacted idk and Pharm knows how to say other things aside from “Phi Deannn” I guess our expectations were too high because the book is truly amazing.
Hate me all you want (I say this again lol) but i’m starting to think a different person directed the KornIn scenes. While the whole series is bad edited and feels flat (not to mention the “sponsor time” scenes) KornIn scenes are beautiful, full of emotion, makes me cry ever time they appear, their interactions are natural, the opposite of what many of you say “lack chemistry” huh! seriously?? DeanPharm lacks chemistry!! it’s just awkward for me... which is weird because I know Fluke is a good actor, the reason I followed the series even before the teaser was because of Fluke, but then why he hasn’t impressed me so far? maybe the script is just bad or maybe the role doesn’t fit him or maybe the problem is Ohm...
No... why should I? I thought it was pretty obvious Kao and Earth get along better tho... Idk for me their interactions are more natural but I know most people prefer OhmFluke, that’s why I said “unpopular”
OhmFluke chemistry is out of this world so I'm happy that their main couple. I never see this kind of couple before…
I know almost everyone thinks like you, that’s why I said “unpopular” but Kao just a pretty face? he’s not given the opportunity to showcase his acting, it’s his first role and he barely got scenes but he’s talented. Wait and see when he gets the main role in the future.
Unpopular opinion: KaoEarth got less screen time, less romance but still got more chemistry than OhmFluke, if they were given more of their story they probably steal the show.
So they decided to waste 10 minutes in a cooking class that has nothing to do with the story and not even 5 minutes to show us more about KornIn relationship?
Well... I’ll try to be as clear as possible since I don’t speak english that well but here we go! Second episode definitely gave me more than episode 1, with episode 1 my expectations were too high but with ep 2 I knew how this is so yeah I liked it more. But still there are some things that doesn’t convince me, for example that scene of the siblings is not well portrayed, why? ok, acting is good and all but Dean is not like that, in the novel it says that Dean is like distant and awkward with his siblings but he doesn’t want to be like that, he’s not that arrogant boy whose siblings are afraid of (it looked like that in this episode, I mean they respect him, it’s awkward around him but not to the point of crying or being nervous, if you don’t believe me read that part, they’re casually in their phones). Other than that technical issues, the background music is unnecessary most of the time, too loud and doesn’t go with the situations, why christmas song when Pharm found the papers? Now the things I loved!! don’t think I’m a hater... we got to see more KornIn ❤️ as far as I understand there’s a novel dedicated to them alone but is not available for inter fans so in the main story (where DeanPharm happens) we don’t know too much about them, but they’re giving us more moments so we can understand better their feelings and I live for that, those flashbacks wow so powerful!! maybe is because I love KaoEarth but objectively it was so sweet. Talking about the flashbacks I was so afraid how they’d portrait that but it was smooth, that scene was well directed (the last one) in fact that impressed me more than anything because I already knew Fluke was an amazing actor, I’ve seen him doing more than that but I’m really really happy new people are starting to pay attention to his acting, he deserves it.
