Almost same, I also like Eiji but I decided to watch this because of Kento, he's my bias ^^ and I think his acting is also good, recently enjoyed Miman Keisatsu. So the korean version does focus more on beauty and not confidence? if that's the case that's so bad...I'm glad i never watched it

She Was Pretty kdrama for me was a drama i would never watch cause I thought it was superficial or something like that and even now I won’t watch that version so here isn’t gonna be comparisons, I just mentioned it cause this drama (jpn ver.) didn’t gave me the impression of being a superficial drama, about beauty standards or so, what I got from it is that confidence in ourselves is very important. Hasebe did not mistreated Ai because she was “ugly” it was because she’s insecure (i’m not saying that’s okay, okay) that’s why he said “that name doesn’t fit you” (or something like that, lol i’m not fluent at japanese sorry) cause the Ai he knew was strong (plus he doesn’t know they’re the same person) So the tittle should be “she was confident” lol but “she was pretty” was better marketing wise
