Because of a conspiracy b/t ML brother and his fiancee they had a kid. She was pregnant and put the blame on ML if she married him then her son will be the sole heir to the clan so his fiancee and ML’s gm came up with that conspiracy to get ML tied up with her. As you know FL’s da ge married almost anyone who will bring him power lol the only one whom didn’t marry is Xiangliu but he doesn’t dare to love her or confess his love to her because he have no more freedom the day he was saved by his so called gong gong. All he can do is protect her on the side and make her feel better. He does love her though but does not show because when she was in a coma for yrs, he was the one whom nurtured her back to life because the love bug they had inside of them is pretty special. This is as much as I will spoil you but then the love is deeper than this u just got to read it because all these things i mentioned there are more to it more love more anguish plots, etc…
But the male lead love the FL because she saved him when he got nothing thus it mean so much tot he ML because everyone he knows just wants power. Whoever the male lead is better be good at eye expression because thats his trait his emotions are all in his eyes that convey many messages.

LOL no its not for the 3rd guy if you read you will know why they titled it that way, btw they already adapted into a manga which i am currently following but the manga definitely is lacking of details maybe it’s because I’ve read the book already :/ the FL literally felt like she had nowhere to go, the ML was married to another woman all she can do is watch from aside feeling hurt, 2nd ML doesn’t dare to love or take her with him but always show up to cheer her up and because he said he had no freedom he sold his freedom away to his savior which is an eunuch gong gong, 3rd ML (she called him brother) was married to her sister and friend I sorta pity her in that kind of state but for sure its a happy ending :) its a lot of twist and turn but this drama mainly focus on romance nothing too heavy

Yes, no lie the male lead speak so little he keep everything to himself and does not tell the female lead he just protect her and love her on the side. The second male lead gave the female lead hope and always cheer her up whenever she feel sad (because of the love bug they shared whatever she is feeling he felt it too so whenever she is hurt he would feel whatever she is feeling so he’d always come by to help her feel better like cheer her up and all) but he doesn’t dare to love or declare his love for her but he was always there for her, the third male lead love and protects her in his own way by earning people’s trust and wanting to govern the whole world to provide to the female lead thus he married tons of women to gain their trust and favor for power (very ambitious man) til he got everything but not the FL but oh boy i read the novel and feel quite sad for him he even pretend to be drugaholic just to get what he wants lol you should read the novel. It ended quite quickly it didn’t really do Xiangliu justice like why would they call him Nine Lives Xiangliu when he died easily or did he really die? You know those loopholes. It says war, war was mentioned but in the novel the war wasn’t a big part of it and itwasn’t described it’s more based off on romance and longing so there are quite a lot of loopholes that make you wonder what happen to etc… why didn’t blah blah blah. The plot isn’t that strong from my point of view, but its an enjoyable ride at least I finished the book and is lovesick for Xiangliu for many months LMAO Xiangliu is a mysterious being and is really interesting like I wander about his being and origin and what does his true form really looked like you know? But it was never explained sigh… :( There are triangle love but at least i can say 1st and 2nd male lead never had to fight for the female lead they appear always at different times except 1 or 2 encounter it’s like their time was divided to being with the FL lol the most pathetic man is the 3rd male lead he thought by gaining the world can he provide a safe place for FL but in the end he didn’t realize he lost her when he chose power over her. Sorry if I am spoiling the novel here i can talk the whole day about this novel LOL I am obsess with Xiangliu so if they really adapt into a drama they better choose a good looking man because he is good looking and he have long silver hair ahem XD

For reals back in 2015 this is consider really good cgi already. Now that china comes out with better technology ppl whom are ignorant would compare now to then and said cgi sucks well of course cgi will sucks cuz its 2015 if they remade this with same cast i am sure it would still be 1 of the top notch series ever with better cgi. I don’t think anyone can pull an innocent look like ZLY here ever she is so cute really innocent to the fullest her emotions were on point and wished they would follow the novel and make BZH regret for an eternity lol

Let me tell you… when an actress first act and u saw them for the first or second time they have the most meat and good looking face but afterwards after working too hard they got skinnier and tends to lose more weight. Go compare yangzi Zhao Liying, yangmi crystal Liu Yifei any artist and compare to their first drama and as it goes they changed and it’s not because of plastic surgery but I know yangzi and yangmi had some work done. But then any actress or actor. I can tell u if she had works done she will look way more better than this.
