Never seen a Chinese drama to have sold broadcasting licence in so many foreign countries way before it gets broadcasted in its own country... I mean The Wolf got already airing licence in US/EU on Viki, S Korea on CHING Tv, Hong Kong on 2 platforms, and now Thailand... II mean...Just WOW!

The MONOMAX Thai broadcaster has officially announced the upcoming of the drama on their platform on a facebook post an hour ago!

Got a bit busy today and had no time to watch the new episodes. I'm gonna hop on my treadmill and walk my way onto the 2 hours watch. This is a great way to exercise because i don't constantly think at my sore legs and short breath, ahahah! :D

I don't think it has anything to do with XZ's controversy. I might be wrong but that's what my feelings are telling me. The wolf has been delayed since 3 years ago, so what would that have anything to do with what is happening now...

Various reasons, marketing strategies to adjust, schedule to adjust,, sync on airing dramas with other platforms, etc. We are only some mere fans, we can't understand.

Aww I enjoyed a lot episode 23! Finally something is moving. Was great to see the boss jealous and realize he takes care of her. Also Xiaoguo definitely fell for him too. Yay!

Yes it is happening. Tencent also just updated their website today. It was not being up to date for more than a week. All 3 dramas in the top Upcoming list has been delayed.

I got sad news.
The S Korean broadcaster has announced today that The Wolf has been postponed from July 30th to mid-August, probably for the same reason the other dramas scheduled to air at the end of the month has been postponed (they said schedule re-adjustment, see "Midsummer is Full of Love").
This probably has something to do with Tencent's upcoming press conference that I anticipated to you on August 2nd. Now all we have is to wait and see.
I am mad and highly frustrated to tell you all...

I put that on hold. Watching too many dramas atm, I'm risking to not appreciate due to bulking too much up.

Actually all the females on this show are quite strong, either they are good or evil characters, which is rare to see in a c-drama.

The drama "Midsummer is full of love" was set to be broadcast on 30th. But now it has been withdrawn from the airing schedule and is again in the "Stay tuned" state. (source from myself, I've seen the dates changing while checking for The Wolf)
Apparently this move was done to make space for "The Wolf" as the airing schedule for dramas on Tencent Video was too tight and there was no free slot. But as usual, take this with 1 (2-3-4) grains of salt! :D

Omg so many hypocritical comments in here, you can as well stop watching any chinese dramas if you criticize every actress/actor for their looks... Are you for real?

I don't know why i can't ship her with the brother, somehow I don't see chemistry between them? Anyway I'm only on ep 13, so I might change my mind. Love this little drama so far.

Although the press conference is on August, it doesn't mean that the drama couldn't be aired before that date. Since the show is still on the upcoming list, they might have added it to that list as it is part of Tencent's upcoming dramas, and will air throughout August if it gets airing date on July 30th. We have to wait and see I guess.

If you want western TV Shows, you don't watch chinese dramas and expect to see something westernized. They have their own culture and traditions that they want to keep and promote, even if you find them idiotic and cheesy full of tropes. It is called personal taste.

In short, The Wolf has opened a new Douyin account (Chinese Tik-Tok) and a new 头条 Tuotiao (which means Headlines) account that just got certified this afternoon. Due to this news, the drama super-topic has jumped on the second place on super-topic rankings.
An official news account has announced there will be held a Tencent Video press conference on August 2nd during which they will announce a bunch of dramas that will be to release next. All Xiao Zhan's dramas are on the list, including The Wolf.
