South Korea and North Korea is so different in many aspects, well including the drama, movie posters and stories majority are historical genre. I am so surprise on how brave the person who did this article. Well done!!
I've been also with a show hole and "movie hole" as well because, I watched Korean movies especially the LGBT once, but the cure I think is to read books, study Korean language or watch some Reality shows.
I want a Korean remake of Lalola (Argentine TV Series about a playboy handsome man who becomes a beautiful woman because, of a curse). It has already a remake in the Philippines. Since some of D.O.s fans wants to have a drama with Kim Tae Ri since they have the same smile. I want D.O. to be Lalo and Kim Tae Ri to be Lola, the love interest, Facundo to be Park Bo Gum and Lalo/Lola's rival for his/her grandfather to be Lee Min Ki as Gastón.
After watching this movie, jealousy just filled my heart. Let me tell you why.The 1987 revolution in SK brought…
South Korean learned their lesson but Filipinos are not that's why Philippines is still poor/developing country. Yes you're right Philippine revolution is "fake" or for a show.
When I watched Painter of the Wind ( a Korean drama series), I was amazed by Shin Yun Bok's ( a woman who dressed as a man to become a painter) and Jeonghyang's ( a kisaeng) chemistry and after I finished the series I said to myself lesbian chemistry has a room for more improvement. Well, that it is way back in 2008. When I watched this one The Handmaiden it is like the director knows what I'm thinking what a lesbian chemistry should look like and I think I should also watched the extended version (+20 mins. for the released) as well.
To be honest, I prefer historical Asian lesbian dramas that's why.
This woman portrayed lesbian roles twice Moon young ( A hearing impaired young teenage girl who is looking for her mother using a camera and finds a friendship with Hee Soo. Hee Soo I think is bisexual while Moon Young is closeted) and The Handmaiden ( A young pick pocket who fell in love with the heiress, named Hideko. Both Sook Hee and Hideko are lesbians) This two movies are very different and unique on its own way but both movies shows love and friendship between the two female characters. She also portrayed strong female characters but I hope someday she would portray an angel role, more like a guardian angel (messenger) but has no love interest i.e. Angels in America. I think an angel role suits her very much.
