I think so too, i think we could have at least one more episode. Everything happened very fastly.
totally agree with you. 8 episode was enough and perfect. we just needed to follow the protagonist's journey through this hell and feel what he did feel. Our innocent protagonist still just got the shocking info as we, the audience. The truth surfaced suddenly, unexpectedly... no need for explanation. you wouldnt get that in real life as well, just the beautiful lies
I swear I'm trying so hard not to ship Hyun Soo and Do Ji Tae but I'm failing miserably. I hope next week they…
i dont think so that his kindness is "pure" like that. Dont forget that he a fearless leader in the prison, can kill you anytime if he wants to... im sure he is kind, bc he has plans for the boy. Remember that at the beginning he couldn't get more "drugs" from the nurse because the woman is moving. I beleive he wants to use Hyun Soo for smuggling things into the prison - maybe using his asthma for hat.
im not sure... the true addicting factor of Bing Bang Theory (which is my all time favourite show) is that:
- not beautiful characters are starring in it, just normal people that every nerd can relate too. These beautiful korean actors wont give the same feeling - in big bang theory many of the fun stuff comes from the dirrent nationalities, religions that the characters have as a background, basically, they make fun of stereotypes (indian man, jewish guy, blonde country girl with big dreams etc) - this level of comedy cannot be given back by a full south korean cast. E.g. Wolowitz is plain looking, small, skinny, not the dream of the girls, he is a horny character at the beginning, mommys little boy - also, i have never seen a south korean sitcom that would hit the level of american sitcoms (sorry to say this) - also, the big bang theory is so american in every essence, not just by of the main topics, like the sci-fi, fantasy movies and games they refer to, BUT its really important that they are reffering to world-known events (comic con), and many famous actor/actress who starred in e.g. Star Wars, Star Trek..etc did a guest role in here (which made the nerd viewers extremely excited-> this is again something that a korean show cannot reproduce
so I would never want any korean drama producers to remake big bang theory - it cannot be reproduced imo. they can make their own nerd / otaku /gamers centric show, but it will be so korean that would never be able to reach the level of Big Bang Theory. And im sure, that what they would make out of if: a romantic comedy with seamingly outcast characters with sad past, who just need to find love to be happy - if would be a 2nd Her private life, just week nerd characters
And sorry, but neither of the cast listed in this post are resonate at all with the original characters. They may be able to play the same traits, but the big problem is that all the actors are not nerdy types. Real nerds - even in Korea - im sure dont look these stunning. Even if I really like the actors/actresses listed in this post
im sure its the monster who took the gangster's body. The gangster clearly died with the nurse chick, while they…
Mine, too T_T I loved his story. He should have lived more to attone for his crimes and also, find "love" and friends,. He deserved some happiness after his shitty life. :(
Netflix exclusive dramas (i.e. not ones in partnership and shown simultaneously on TV in SK) have had a great…
I was thinking about watching Extracurricular as well. Is it worth? My next on my watching list is Strangers from hell. Just I want to pick one more interesting show for myself for this year :D
There are many different story with the original webtoon, hyun su supposed to be with ji su, but eun yoo deserve…
im sure its the monster who took the gangster's body. The gangster clearly died with the nurse chick, while they were holding hands. No way that the gangter survived the shoots he received from the original monster
Not popular opinion, sorry about this. I was looking for a similar drama to Flower of Evil. I got interested bc of the story. But the ML and FL relationship is so unrealistic for me. How can the FL still love the ML, after finding out that he caused her best friends’ death? That he manipulated / helped a girl to kill her friend? Even after meeting with the FL he keeps manipulating others... and the other thing, while the FL is full of emotions, the ML is sooo empty. I dont feel anything from him. The ML in Flower of Evil has the same dark arua, he is also manipulating others, but his reasons are clear, and he can express a wide range of emotions although he also seems emotionless at firts glance. Here the ML lead seems to me acting the same in the whole time and not changing at all.
For Flower of Evils fans: if you are looking for something similar, this drama wont neccessarily give you the same quality, great story and impressive acting - at least from the ML. The FL is great here and her brother. Those two are the top positive elements here. Its rare for me, but i was interested more in the big brother’s story of the FL than the romance between the main leads.
So.. I got so amazed by this drama, I love the characters, the story, and so on... so I made a music video based on the first 8 episodes. As it contains spoilers, pls only watch if its ok with you. Hope you will like it, any feedback is welcomed! I made this to help us to survive till ep 9 is released, that's why I thought its ok to share it with you guys. ^^
Does it make sense that he does not feel any human emotions yet he's trembling in fear of being revealed to the…
His sister mentioned in ep 8, that he has changed.
IMO as a child he seemed emotionless bc of certain circumstances. But after running away, and meeting with Cha Ji Won, he has changed. He learned to express himself and he started to feel - just he is not aware of it, but his actions speak for themselves e.g. he saved Cha Ji Won without a 2nd thought when those staff was about to fall on her and hit her in the warehouse. Also, he is protective of his little girl on his own way.
Btw, in the past scenes he also felt at least anger, humiliation, sadness (sometimes, he was also happy with his sister) ... so I don't think that he was/is completely emotionless, its more like negative feelings was overwhelming him, and he didn't really get parental love, he didn't have a loving normal family to learn stuff. IMO traumatic experiences, depression, PTSD is behind his mental state, things, that darken his childhood.
Plus, he says in ep 8 he wants to keep living as Baek Hee Sung for the rest of his life. The reason that he doesn't know yet is that he HAS NOW a loving family, and don't want to lose it. My feeling is that the story writers probably make him realize this after he loses his wife and child. Either bc Cha Ji Won leaves him bc of his lies, either bc he needs to leave everything behind as his true identity gets revealed.
Someone please clear my doubt...In the recording that witness submits, the person mentions that the village foreman…
Agree. For me it seemed that the reason for changing her report to the police was because of this threat call. So timeline wisely it really doesn't make sense...

All in all, it was not my cup of tea.
