Hello Lovers and Haters of this show, we've come so far. One last episode and it's the end of a journey for us all. Whether you loved it, hated it or ambivalent, you all cared enough to spend time to read and post comments here :).
I dropped this drama after the first few eps and came back to see the last 2 eps bcs of tiktok videos. JEG still…
Not to nitpick, but protagonist isn't always the good character. It's just the main character. People have been conditioned to associate pro with good and anti with bad. Not mention that in most stories, the main character is good.
The poster and the title of the drama strongly suggests that EK is the protagonist. Also stories don't change the protagonist/antagonist designation in the latter half of the story.
Blaming your parents for your faults is not an exit or excuse for your doings, it's a statement that they don't…
Many viewers tend to put themselves into the perspectives of the characters without realizing that the characters are merely puppets in a story. Sometimes it's just the storyteller trying to convey a message to the viewers. So with that in mind, IMO it's merely the story trying to justify their characters' actions through the trauma that they have suffered. Most actions are in the morally gray area, so it really depends on which perspective you view them through whether you will find them justified or not.
Not sure for certain, but pretty sure the necklace is a gift from BD to EK. that's why when BD saw the broken…
Because she didn't realize she had dropped it. She didn't want BD to know that she took off her necklace. I suppose you can interpret as her official/symbolic betrayal of her friend.
EK is acting all mad at ES for having an affair for two reasons, perhaps she is worried that CW's parents may…
Not sure for certain, but pretty sure the necklace is a gift from BD to EK. that's why when BD saw the broken clasp, she assumed that EK had ripped it away. Hence another ding against EK being a true friend in her mind.
We are not sure yet. It might also be NC's wife at 0:27 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-1dQx5OoIgo
It's BD's mom. The dropped phone was a black Samsung Fold, which BD's mom uses. NC's wife uses a black S22+. Plot wise would make the most sense. I could also see them making her have a heart attack and have to go to the hospital and be unconscious for a while thereby delaying the reveal of the affair.
It's a shame that most dramas that have infidelity gets down voted just because of the infidelity. Most everyone seemingly have to denounce the infidelity in the show. Yet in shows that feature serial killers or murders, there isn't the same perverse need to denounce murder as a bad thing. I don't know about you, I think murder is much worse than infidelity.
Understandably, infidelity is a topic that touches way more people personally than that of murder. So there's more of a personal connection and therefore a more pronounced revulsion to it. But I think folks just need to treat it as a story just as any other drama. I've thoroughly enjoyed the story so far and always looking forward to the next episode.
It's funny how CW thought he was explaining to EK the misundestanding about the blind date and the rings stuff…
I find it rather funny that people still try to justify the actions of the characters from the POV of the characters. The actions of the characters are much better explained when you try to understand the motivations and POV of the writer. The cheating or temptation of cheating will come for EK and CW, it's pretty crystal clear. NC and ES extracurricular activity already foreshadows it. It only thing remains is what's the justification. For now, BD hasn't done anything worthy of cheating. The two possibility floating by the the story is that 1. she asking for a divorce because of MIL(not certain or a big enough reason) 2. the daughter is not CW's. The 2nd option would seem to be the biggest impetus for the 'split'. Foreshadowed by CW's mom asking about her suitors before marrying CW.
I'm kinda confused about which guy is she (EK) more interested in, the moment when they have a party she seems…
EW is the one she wants, but can't have. TK is the one she has. The story has already pointed out numerous times of her crappy situation and desperation. She doesn't have options, TK is the only option. To her TK is the only option, so she's desperate to try to hold on to him, however bad he may be.
If you analyze Korean culture, there's a few things that are important. Family, job, marriage, and kids. EK comes from a poor/dysfunctional family. She has no permanent job. Is not married and has no kids. That's why in her fight with her sister, she says she's ok being divorced, because that would at least imply that she was married.
Probably the worst 8.1 rated kdrama I've seen so far. A host underdeveloped characters and storylines make this drama a head scratcher. More of a Revenge Bread Making Tycoon than anything else. The two romance pairings are wholly incompatible in, no matter how the writer tries to justify them. The time leap forward seemingly happened without any transition.
There's always going to be something lost in translation, when you are going across different languages and different…
I suppose the point I'm trying to make is that it's difficult to provide context when you have only a little bit of screen real estate. Somethings are universal, while many other things require context. And that context will require a lot of knowledge not just a few lines on the screen.
lol I need to vent a sec. As a Canadian it's such a pet peeve of mine when translators use American specific terms…
There's always going to be something lost in translation, when you are going across different languages and different cultures. I don't think there are generic ways to translate some references. Even when I watch American shows, there are some very nuanced cultural references that I don't think even many Americans understand. And to expect that to be conveyed in another language/culture is even more difficult.
Imagine an English-speaking country that doesn't have the concept of a 5th amendment in their laws. How would you even be able to accommodate that through an English translation that's supposed to be generic to all English speakers?
Was it that hard for them to film pulling a proper block for the Jenga tower to fall? The one YG pulled was obviously going to make the tower fall, he might as well just slapped it down. Who is dumb enough to pull either side of a level when the middle block's been pulled already?

Should've called it Loud Farts Through the Pants.
