Title Sword and Fairy Spoiler
Tencent is making money out of Sword and Fairy 6, aside from SVIP, selling it's copyright to it's rival company.…
Yeah, they clearly knew what they done. They wont care much about heat, since they knew they cant promote much. Better think how to make money from Sowrd and Fairy more: by making new SVIP system, selling copyright to kiwi, there are product ads in every episode, selling merchandise, etc.

Such a great analysis about Yue Qi! Yue Qi is actually such a complex character, the more you get to know her background! I love this word that describe drama yueqi so much:
" Yue Qi clearly has feeling but she has no obsession"

That's also why Yue Qi is the only one who didnt get affected by the spell in the Pureness Spring Well. It's because she really doesnt have obsession for the world or for a person.

In the game it's even more harder, yueqi has no feeling nor obsession.
Anyway, Yue Qi journey in mortal world is such a great way to make her learn about what is feeling, what is obsession, what is selfishness, what is fear, what is death, learn what is relationship with other human-being, what is friend, what is family, what is lover => all of this that will make her a "human" & will help her make all the big decision she will make in the later stage of episodes.

Title Sword and Fairy Spoiler
For those wondering why the popularity of Sword and Fairy on Tencent isn't rising despite the drama and character data achievements, as well as the great quality of the drama, here's the explanation:

Primarily, Tencent made Sword and Fairy as an experiment to implement the new SVIP system. This SVIP system creates a 6-hour gap between early access for some viewers and the regular release, causing a split in discussions and affecting the drama's overall heat. SVIP subscribers can watch the drama at noon (12:00 pm), and by evening (18:00 pm), it becomes available to VIP and non-VIP viewers. This 6-hour time lag makes it challenging for fans to engage in discussions simultaneously.

The SVIP system unintentionally exacerbates the issue by leading to leaks of the drama on pirate and illegal websites by noon. This premature release affects the official launch, reducing the exclusivity factor. Evidence on Weibo even shows Sword and Fairy ranking high on these pirate sites in mainland China.

This isn't a new problem; Sword and Fairy is the second drama for this experiment. A similar situation arose with the drama 'Frozen Surface' not long ago, which faced challenges despite positive word of mouth.

Adding to the complexity, Sword and Fairy is not exclusive to Tencent; it's also airing on Kiwi. This further fragments the audience as viewership is split between platforms.

In essence, the combination of the SVIP system, scheduling disparities, leaks to illegal sites, and non-exclusive broadcasting all contribute to Sword and Fairy's struggle to gain the popularity it deserves.

Moreover, the drama needs to stay low-key, and they can't promote the drama more (like appearing on variety shows, etc.) due to the government's new restrictions on online games last year. Any game adaptation is not allowed to be promoted to avoid encouraging children to play online games and to focus on studies instead. This is also the reason why the drama lost its TV slot.

Fans have patiently waited for one and a half years just to see this drama air, so let's just enjoy the show ❤️. For those who love the drama, don't worry about the popularity index because there's nothing we can do about it unless Tencent removes its SVIP system. A good drama will always remain a good drama, no matter the circumstances. Let's discuss more about the drama plot, the characters, the acting, the OST, the behind-the-scenes, etc., and cherish the drama even more. It's already gratifying enough that we can still see the drama airing despite the restriction policy.

Are you familiar with the game? Do you think the drama makes Qi smarter than in the game and Jinzhao actually…
Yess, i watched the whole game story. Yess to all that you say. In the game Qi is really clueless about getting scammed, while in the drama she is a fast learner, she change the money with rocks just like what jinchao did to her. Also in the game, yueqi will only accept if jinchao call her dummy, while in the drama yueqi will counter back if jinchao call her dummy 🤣. In the game they are not as lively & bickering much as in the drama. The drama make Qi Jinchao banter more dynamic and interesting 🥰❤️.

As fans of the game's story and Esther, I'm genuinely pleased with the drama's performance in episodes 1-4. It effectively follows the game's plot while introducing fresh elements, particularly adding depth to the characters of Yue Jinchao, Yueqi, and Bian Luohan. The chemistry between Xinxin and Xukai is truly outstanding, and the banter and bickering dynamic between Yueqi and Yue Jinchao is highly enjoyable. Xinxin consistently excels in chemistry with her co-stars.

The storyline involving Yue Qi and Bian Luohan fulfills my cravings from the game, making the narrative richer and addressing aspects the game might have lacked. I'm eagerly anticipating how the story will unfold in the upcoming episodes.

Xukai's excellent portrayal of two roles emitting distinct vibes is commendable. Esther, as Yueqi, not only exceeds my expectations but also infuses the character with more soul and humanity compared to the game. While the game portrays Yueqi as naive and innocent, Esther's portrayal brings out Yueqi's quick wit and intelligence, showcasing a more multifaceted character compared to the seemingly robotic Yueqi in the game. Given that Yueqi is a 3-year-old baby lolita in the game, Esther successfully brings out her nuanced traits, revealing feelings and actions learned from her surroundings. Notably, Esther is the only one from the team who uses her own real voice and successfully recreates Yueqi's voice from the game with even better emotional resonance.

Chinese Paladin 6's original story transcends a simple love narrative, with each side character possessing unique traits and individual narratives. The adventure of CP6 is worth watching for a diverse audience. Overall, I'm thrilled with the drama and the ongoing excitement it brings. I hope it attracts many viewers who will come to love it, and I wish the entire team continued success.

based on the game, Jinzhao had a hunch that Luo Zhaoyan is a female. Only Qi was unaware
Even Jinchao in the game had hunch that ZY is female, he still got jealous of her 😭. He is just that jealousy bf 🤣.

I need them to dub Esther's baby voice. It grits my nerves
Stay mad, ur wish will never come true. Xinxin will always using her own real voice!
Xinxin is the only one who use her real voice among all SAF team, that's speak so much volume about her ability!
Because in the drama production, everyone actually need to use their own voice or hiring dubber by their own cost. Also, even tho, they had dubbing their own character, it's still up to the production team whether to use the original voice or using dubber. Then, if the drama production has choose Xinxin original voice, she has fit the standart version of the character needed. I dont think anyone could do a better job dubbing Esther character except for herself. Because she is so unique & always make expression & voice only she herself can make it. Also she is a professional dubber, she spent months time to learn dubbing & has dubbing project for a few animation movie. So, just keep dreaming, cause Xinxin will keep progressing by dubbing herself all of their works.

I find that Yue Qi, a character that is pretty much written as what everyone hates in terms of female protagonists,…
Yue Qi is a very interesting character. She is no doubt is physically strong & clever too. In the game, it's told that she has high IQ, but since she is not human (she is a beast (kun), so she had a low EQ/human emotion, that's why she needed to be taught by Jinchao). but yeah, clearly she is clever, she just lazy to think for herself & let Jinchao think & arrange everything for her since she doesn't interested in anything except for food, jinchao, her shifu dream & fish.

Bian LuoHan ( Qi master) create Jinchao as a stand-in for him to keep resonancing with Qi, since he's badly hurt/sick so he had limited time. Qi & Him had a mission they need to do together.

Ow ow ow no wonder so many people wants this drama. I believe in xinxin's choice
the way people always said xiao yu's cakes are rotten but in fact they just want to lick the cake for their own fav, but their fav can't get it, are always so funny to me 😅. Anyway, it's just speak volume how " hot" and "on demand" the cake is.
I also believe in Xinxin's choice, she always ahead of everyone, she knew exactly what she want and what she aimed for a project. Start from Youth, Moonlight, I've Fallen For you, CangLanJue, Xiaosenlin, CP6 and Yunzhiyu, all of her drama are really suitable for her 🥰. Anyway, what Yu Shuxin act, that's what i will watch 🥰 . Can't wait to see another heavenly choosen character for xinxin soon🥰❤️.
