you do know real trans people aren't an exclusively american "political correctness" issue right???? also racism…
Not exclusively american ofc but this series feels more like an american production than korean for me. If racism or sexism is an issue in Korea i dont know, this drama dosent approach either subject well.

i think about cloy the way you think about ICi find cloy damn boring its all about taste
Indeed but i just dont get it the whole plot has more holes than a sieve. The second female lead has been a mean one straight from first episode treating beggar badly, then main lead starts makign excuses for her- she claims MLs dad was like a father to her and rejects the rich guy because he killed him,yet goes to work for/gets funded by the guy who is as bad and covered it up and got another guy jailed for what his son did. All this while she is meant to like the main lead and consider his dad like her dad. Makes the second female look like a selfish golddigger who would throw her friends and family in the front of a bus if she benefited from it and makes the main lead look like a fool who cant see when he is being used to fish information. I like the main lead as an actor i just havent seen a female lead yet who he really has good chemistry with, and the storyline in IC is just..milking the political correctness thing, i have liked as far than k dramas have had jokes in them that no way would pass in the US/UK which makes them unique. ITs like the main female argueing with the guy from guinea that he is not korean and in the end gets pressured to change her mind or gets a sack. She wasnt in the wrong and had right for an opinion, he had grown up in guinea and only had been in korea for a year, his father might be korean but he was guinean. Korean was learnt language not his mother tongue. Its again american thing to say things like im half irish/half british/quarter scottish- you are where you have grown up and what language is your mother tongue. I have lived in the UK for 17 years more years than i spent in my homeland and yet i dont consider myself british, my nationality in my passport is estonian, i was born in estonia and i grew up speaking estonian. Makes me estonian, regardless where my parents/grandparents were born. Sorry for the rant just shame if k dramas turn into americanized soaps.

I rate this drama average. I see no chemistry between leads, the lead male looks bored with both the women. Whats with awful clothes ob male lead, he looks like he is out of a council estate in the uk along with the hairstyle. Not a fan of american pc issues being introduced- gender problems and skin color. It dosent even relate and hiring server with no experience who dosent speak english makes no sense in a tourist area. Why is the male lead made out to be such a tool and blab to the second female about his business who goes on to tell the old man..i just cant get into ot, i have watched 10 episodes- no tears and no laughs,in cloy i was crying and laughing from episode one to 16.
